Ocellularia is a genus of lichens in the family Graphidaceae. The genus was circumscribed by Georg Friedrich Wilhelm Meyer in 1825. [2]

Chroodiscus is a genus of leaf-dwelling lichens in the family Graphidaceae. It was first introduced by Swiss lichenologist Johannes Müller Argoviensis in 1883 as a section of the genus Ocellularia. In 1890 he promoted it to generic status.

Pieter Groenhart was a Dutch lichenologist known for his research into tropical Asian lichens. Born in Ilpendam, he became a teacher in 1916 and taught in several local elementary schools. In 1926 he moved to Java, where he became a teacher at the Agricultural School in Malang, from 1926 to 1932. Soon after, he studied biology at the University of Utrecht (1932–1935), and then started to study lichens at the Rijksherbarium in Leiden, from 1935 to 1936. He returned to teaching in Malang until 1940, when he was transferred to a Government school at present-day Bogor.

Graphis crebra is a species of corticolous lichen in the family Graphidaceae. It has a pantropical distribution. Like other script lichens, it grows on bark and resembles calligraphy. It can be distinguished from several other similar species by the white pruina (powder) on its apothecial discs.

Helge Thorsten Lumbsch is a German-born lichenologist living in the United States. His research interests include the phylogeny, taxonomy, and phylogeography of lichen-forming fungi; lichen diversity; lichen chemistry and chemotaxonomy. He is the Associate Curator and Head of Cryptogams and Chair of the Department of Botany at the Field Museum of Natural History.

Teuvoa is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Megasporaceae. It was first classified by lichenologists Mohammad Sohrabi and Steven Leavitt in 2013, with Teuvoa uxoris asigned as the type species. This genus was delineated from the larger genus, Aspicilia, following a molecular phylogenetic analysis which revealed that the Aspicilia uxoris species group constituted a distinct lineage in the Megasporaceae. Initially containing three species, two additional species native to China were added in 2018. Teuvoa is characterised by its small ascospores and conidia, and the absence of secondary metabolites.

Ocellularia subudupiensis is a rare species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) lichen in the family Graphidaceae. Found in Singapore, it was formally described as a new species in 2015 by Gothamie Weerakoon and Robert Lücking. The type specimen was collected by the first author from a low-elevation primary forest in the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. It is only known to occur at the type locality. The species epithet refers to its similarity with Ocellularia udupiensis. It differs from this lichen in its relatively rough thallus surface in addition to its secondary chemistry, as it contains three unidentified lichen products that are detectable using thin-layer chromatography.

Guido Benno Feige was a German lichenologist and botanist known for his contributions to lichen secondary chemistry, taxonomy, and floristics. He was a highly regarded educator and researcher, with a legacy that includes the foundation of a botanical garden and a lichen herbarium. In honour of his academic excellence and contributions to the field of lichenology, a new genus and two species were named after him.

Hypogymnia saxicola is a rare species of foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Found in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces of China, it forms delicate cushions on mossy rocks in subalpine regions. It is characterised by its slender, glossy brown lobes and unique chemistry.

Ocellularia portoricensis is a rare species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) crustose lichen in the family Graphidaceae. It was discovered in Puerto Rico, where it grows on tree trunks within shadowy understories of specific forests. This organism is distinct from other related lichens by its unique characteristics such as a white medulla and relatively larger, brown-tinted ascospores.

Ocellularia vulcanisorediata is a rare species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) lichen in the family Graphidaceae. Described as a new species in 2014, it is only known to occur in Puerto Rico.
