"One Day" is a song performed by American reggae singer Matisyahu, first released in 2008, his first single since "Jerusalem (Out of the Darkness Comes Light)". The song was also included as a last-minute addition to Matisyahu's album Light . The song expresses a hope for an end to violence, and a prayer for a new era of peace and understanding. It appeared on the Modern Rock Chart at number 21 and at number 38 on the US Rock Chart; also in March 2009 it debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 90 and reached number 85.
In an interview with Spinner, Matisyahu told them: "'One Day' is the song I've been wanting to make since I started my career. It is an anthem of hope with a big beat, the kind of song that makes you bob your head and open your heart at the same time." [1]
The official remix for the song features Akon and was released to radio stations in May 2008. A second remix featuring Infected Mushroom was released in July 2008.

In late 2008, Subatomic Sound System garnered international attention for a limited edition vinyl 12" featuring their collaboration with Vienna's Dubblestandart and dub inventor Lee "Scratch" Perry, releasing the first songs from Perry in the dubstep genre, one of the first recorded examples of a tangible connection between the popular UK based electronic genre that emerged in the early 2000s and the Jamaican dub from the 1970s where dubstep's origins were rooted and which had been primarily originated by Perry himself. Zusha is an American Hasidic folk/soul band from Manhattan, New York. They formed in 2013 with lead singer Shlomo Gaisin and guitarist Zachariah Goldschmiedt. The band, named after Zusha of Hanipol, combines traditional Hasidic niggunim with secular styles like jazz, folk, and reggae. Their self-titled debut EP, released on October 28, 2014, reached No. 9 on Billboard's World Albums chart, while their debut full-length album, Kavana (2016), reached No. 2.
