Parisapparambil Kunjan Pillai Ramachandran Pillai is an Indian film producer, distributor, businessman, and actor, who worked in Malayalam film industry. Founder of film production company Shirdi Sai Creations and distributed films through Shirdi Sai Release. He is credited with producing eight of Mohanlal's films in the 1980s, best known for producing Chithram . He has produced 22 films. [1] [2] [3]

Biography

Pillai hails from Koothattukulam, Kerala. He began importing business in Bombay in his early years itself. It rose to become a large company called Starnight Group of Industries. He was also active in politics and was a member of the Indian National Congress. He maintained close friendship with prime minister-stateswoman Indira Gandhi. He was an ardent devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba and had built a temple and an eponymous auditorium near his house in Koothattukulam. He had a 26 horses racecourse. His first marriage was with Sarojam, who died in an accident. He has four children (Rajesh, Preethi, Saju, Sidhu) with his second wife Rama. His son Sidhu, an actor, died in 2018. Pillai's debut production was Vepraalam in 1984, in which he also played an important role. He also acted in his second film Thathamme Poocha Poocha (1984). [4] [5]

Sreenivasan is an Indian actor, screenwriter, director, dubbing artist and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. Sreenivasan has starred in over 200 films. Chithram (transl. Picture) is a 1988 Indian Malayalam-language screwball comedy film written and directed by Priyadarshan. The film was produced by P. K. R. Pillai under his production house Shirdi Sai Creations, and stars Mohanlal, Ranjini, Nedumudi Venu, Lizy, Poornam Vishwanathan, Sreenivasan, M. G. Soman, Sukumari, Maniyanpilla Raju, and Shanavas, while Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair makes a cameo appearance. The songs were composed by Kannur Rajan and film score by Johnson. Mohanlal won the Kerala State Film Award - Special Jury Award for his performance in this film.

M. G. Soman Indian Malayalam actor

M. G. Soman was an Indian actor and former Indian Air Force officer who appeared in Malayalam films. He was one among the leading star actors doing hero roles in Malayalam Cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s. He has also done roles in Tamil films Aval Oru Thodar Kathai, Naalai Namadhe, Kumaara Vijayam and Airport. However, in the late 1980s and 1990s, he switched to character and villainous roles.

K. Bhaskaran Nair, known by his stage name Adoor Bhasi, was an Indian film actor and film director from Kerala. Adoor Bhasi was almost always cast as the man who stands next to the hero. Sudheer Kumar, better known by his stage name Maniyanpilla Raju, is an Indian film actor and producer who works in Malayalam film industry. His debut film was Mohiniyaattam in 1976. He has played a variety of roles as a character actor, appearing in over 400 films. His stage name was derived from the character he played in the film Maniyanpilla Adhava Maniyanpilla (1981), his break-through role.

Raghunath Paleri is an Indian novelist, screenwriter, director and actor from Kerala. He has directed three films—Onnu Muthal Poojyam Vare (1986), Vismayam (1998), and Kanneerinu Madhuram (unreleased); and in television, eight episodes of Bible Ki Kahaniya (1993–1995). He entered Malayalam film industry in 1978 and have also worked in Tamil film industry. His elder brother Dr. Prabakaran Paleri served as the 16th Director General of Indian Coast Guard from 28 Feb 2006 to 31 August 2006. His debut work with the producer Nirmal of Minerva Studio did not release at that time. Later Nirmal produced another film Naseema which got released in 1983 was written by Paleri. He found his way in acting as Adruman, a blind man, in Thottappan directed by Shanavas K. Bhavakutty.
