Philippe Martin (born 26 January 1955) is a Belgian former racing driver. [1] He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 1980 and 1985. [2] He won the 24 Hours of Spa twice alongside his brother Jean-Michel. His nephew Maxime also won the race in 2016.

John Colum Crichton-Stuart, 7th Marquess of Bute, styled Earl of Dumfries before 1993, was a Scottish peer and a racing driver, most notably winning the 1988 24 Hours of Le Mans. He did not use his title and preferred to be known solely as John Bute, although he had previously been called Johnny Dumfries before his accession to the Marquessate. The family home is Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute. He attended Ampleforth College, as had his father and most male members of the Crichton-Stuart family, but did not finish the normal five years of study.

Maxime Martin is a Belgian professional racing driver and son of four-time Spa 24 Hours winner Jean-Michel Martin. He currently is an Aston Martin Racing driver for which he competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship between 2018 and 2020. Martin had been a BMW factory driver since 2013, racing full-time in the American Le Mans Series for BMW Team RLL that season, as well as acting as BMW's DTM test and reserve driver. In late 2013 at BMW Motorsport's yearly review, Martin was confirmed as a full-time BMW DTM driver for the 2014 season.

The 81st 24 Hours of Le Mans was a 24-hour automobile endurance racing event for Le Mans Prototype and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance cars held from 19 to 23 June 2013 at the Circuit de la Sarthe close to Le Mans, France. It was the 81st running of the event, as organised by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) since 1923. The race was the third and the premier round of the 2013 FIA World Endurance Championship, with 32 of the race's 56 entries contesting the championship. A test day was held two weeks prior to the race on 9 June. Approximately 245,000 spectators attended the event.

Equipe Alméras Frères is a French auto racing team founded by Jean-Marie Alméras and his brother Jacques Alméras in 1971. The racing team is an extension of the automotive dealership in Montpellier through which the brothers tune, develop, and restore Porsches, in which the team is commonly known as Porsche Alméras. Early success in French and European hill climbs led to rallying efforts across Europe, including overall victories at the Monte Carlo Rally and Tour de Corse, and the full support of Porsche in developing their 911 model for rallying. Small forays into sports car racing in the 1970s eventually shifted to the team running sports cars full-time in the 1980s, including multiple participations at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and eventually an effort in the World Sportscar Championship. By the 1990s the team returned to hill climbs and rallying while participating in French circuit championships including the Porsche Carrera Cup.
