Photographer is a 2006 Indian Malayalam-language drama film written and directed by Ranjan Pramod. Starring Mohanlal, Neethu, Master Mani and Biju Menon in lead roles. The film is loosely based on the Muthanga incident of 2003, in which a policeman and a tribal were killed. Mohanlal plays dual roles as a wildlife photographer and a farmer. The soundtrack was composed by Johnson. [1] [2]

The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Pramod and the debut of Kannada actress Neethu in Malayalam cinema, as well as the comeback of composer Johnson after a sabbatical. Photographer was released on 21 October 2006 on the occasion of Diwali. Mani, who played the role of a tribal boy won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. Johnson won the Mathrubhumi Film Award for Best Music Director for the soundtrack and Mullasserry Raju Music Award for the song "Enthe Kannanu".

The film is loosely based on the Muthanga incident of 2003, in which a policeman and a tribal were killed. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Ranjan Pramod. Filming began in July 2006. [3] [4] The film was also the debut of Kannada actress Neethu in Malayalam cinema, as well as the comeback of composer Johnson after a sabbatical. Mani, a real tribal boy played a tribal in the film.

Soundtrack

The original songs featured in the film was composed by Johnson, with lyrics by Kaithapram Damodaran. Soundtrack album was released by the label Satyam Audios. [5]

Master Mani won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. [7] Johnson won the Mathrubhumi Film Award for Best Music Director for the soundtrack [8] and the Mullasserry Raju Music Award for the song "Enthe Kannanu". [9]

It Also Won him the Kerala State Film Award for " Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value" in 2017.

Ennum Eppozhum is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language comedy-drama film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by Ranjan Pramod based on a story by Raveendran. It was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the production company Aashirvad Cinemas. It stars Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, alongside a supporting cast including Innocent, Reenu Mathews, Jacob Gregory, Lena and Renji Panicker. It also marked the reunion of Mohanlal and Manju Warrier after 17 years. Ennum Eppozhum was released across India on 27 March 2015 and met with mixed reviews from critics. The film was a commercial success though at the box office. The song "Malarvaka Kombathu" won Kerala State Film Award for Best Singer for P. Jayachandran.

<i>Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol</i> 2016 film by Jibu Jacob

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language domestic drama film directed by Jibu Jacob and written by M. Sindhuraj. It is loosely based on the Malayalam short story "Pranayopanishath" by V. J. James. Produced and distributed by Sophia Paul through Weekend Blockbusters, the film stars Mohanlal and Meena as panchayat secretary Ulahannan and his wife Annyamma. The soundtrack features songs composed by Bijibal and M. Jayachandran, and a film score by Bijibal. The film is about Ulahannan, a man having a midlife crisis, who rediscovers himself and overcomes boredom in his routine life.
