In February 2024, Matthew Vaughn revealed that he had shot a secret film in the spy genre tentatively titled Project X, with Chris Hemsworth and Sam Rockwell starring in the lead roles. Principal photography had been completed in 11 weeks. [1] Vaughn said that it is a "very special movie" and has that similar impact as Kick-Ass (2010). The film features Vaughn's stunt team and was described as "reinventing the action film genre." [2]

It contains 28 tracks, with two original songs—"Electric Energy" by Ariana DeBose, Boy George and Nile Rodgers, and "Get Up and Start Again" by DeBose—and the remainder consisted instrumental tracks from the film score composed by Lorne Balfe. The former was released as a single on January 26, 2024 and the soundtrack in its entirety released on February 2, 2024 through Platoon and Marv Music.
