Ramajogayya Sastry (born 24 August 1970) is an Indian film lyricist, known for his works in Telugu cinema and music.
Ramajogayya Sastry was born in Arepalli Muppalla, Ipuru Mandal near Narasaraopet of Guntur district.[ citation needed ] His father, Suryaprakasa Rao, was a priest and agriculturist and his mother, Saraswatamma, is a housewife. [1] He did his B.Tech from NIT Warangal and M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur. [2]
He was working as a metallurgical engineer at Bengaluru when his career as a lyricist began. He worked in GE India Business Center in Secunderabad. [2]
Sastry penned lyrics for over a hundred films in Telugu and is a famous lyricist in Andhra Pradesh. He is popular for his peppy and catchy lyrics, while he has frequently shown his ability to write lyrics for more serious situations in films. He fancied becoming a singer. [2]
He first penned lyrics for a Kannada film. Film Star V. Ravichandran introduced him to Krishna Vamsi who in turn introduced him to Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry. Upon Sastry's request, Seetharama Sastry accepted him as his protégé thus enabling him to hone his lyric-writing skills. Sastry first penned lyrics for the movie Yuvasena , a remake of the Malayalam film 4 The People . He got Rs.20,000 as first remuneration for his two songs in the film.
Actor-producer Mohan Babu and film director Srinu Vaitla offered Sastry to work in many of their films before he rose to stardom with the song "Om Namaste Bolo" (Telugu : ఓం నమస్తే బోలో) in the film Ready . He won Filmfare award for the devotional song Sadaasiva Sanyaasii! (Telugu : సదాశివ సన్యాసీ!) from the film Khaleja . [3]
He played a short and uncredited role in King as a music assistant for a music director Jayasurya played by Brahmanandam.
He won a music award from the Telugu channel Star Maa for lyrics of the song "Apple Beauty" from the movie Janatha Garage . He also penned the title song Jayaho Janatha for the same movie which was released in 2016. He then worked for Pawan Kalyan's Katamarayudu title song "Mira Mira Meesam" for which Anup Rubens composed the soundtrack.

Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry was an Indian poet and lyricist known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acquired the stage name Sirivennela after writing the lyrics for the 1986 film of same name. Sastry has garnered several awards including eleven state Nandi Awards and five Filmfare Awards South for his work. He has penned lyrics for over 3000 songs until 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, for his contributions towards the field of arts and aesthetics.
Jandhyala Subrahmanya Sastry, known mononymously by his surname Jandhyala, was an Indian film director, screenwriter, playwright, and actor known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He is popularly known as Hasya Brahma. In a career spanning more than two decades, he directed over 40 films and wrote the dialogue for more than 300 films. He won three state Nandi Awards one each for Best Director, Best Story Writer, and Best Dialogue Writer and one Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu. The film stars Superstar Mahesh Babu, Anushka Shetty and Prakash Raj, while Shafi, Sunil, Brahmaji Sameer Hasan Vennela Kishore Tanikella Bharani Pavitra Lokesh Nadhiya Sayaji Shinde Navdeep Srinivas Avasarala Srinivasa Reddy Ravi Babu Brahmanandam and Ali play supporting roles. The plot follows Raju (Babu), a cab driver who gets hailed as God in a remote village and ends up facing GK (Raj), a powerful industrialist, to save the village. The film deals with illegal-mining in India, and related environmental damage. It marks Babu's return as an actor after a three-year hiatus in his second collaboration with Trivikram after Athadu.

He also won Nandi Award for Best Critic in 2014.
SIIMA Award for Best Lyricist – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best lyrics done by a writer for a Telugu song. The award was first given in 2012 for songs and films released in 2011. Ramajogayya Sastry is the most nominated with 11 nominations and Ramajogayya Sastry and Chandrabose are the most awarded with three times winning the award.
SIIMA Award for Best Male Playback Singer – Telugu is presented by Vibri media group as part of its annual South Indian International Movie Awards, for the best singing by a male playback singer/vocalist of a Telugu-language song. The award was first given in 2012 for songs and films released in 2011.
Yuvasena is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language film directed by Jayaraj and starring Bharath, Sarvanand, Kishore, Padma Kumar, Suresh Menon, and Gopika. The film is a remake of Jayaraj's own Malayalam film 4 the People (2004).
Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is the soundtrack album composed by S. Thaman for the 2018 Telugu action drama film of the same name starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Initially, Anirudh Ravichander was announced as the music director, but due to creative differences with Srinivas, he was backed out from the project and Thaman came on board, thereby making his first collaboration with Srinivas, and his fourth collaboration with Rao. Srimanthudu is the soundtrack to the 2015 film of the same name directed by Koratala Siva and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment. Starring Mahesh Babu, Shruti Haasan, Jagapati Babu and Rajendra Prasad, with Sampath Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Sukanya and Harish Uthaman in supporting roles, the film featured six songs composed by Devi Sri Prasad with lyrics written by Ramajogayya Sastry and Prasad co-writing the lyrics for the song "Charuseela". Raju Sundaram, Dinesh Kumar and Bosco–Caesar handled the choreography for the song sequences. The soundtrack was released by Aditya Music on 18 July 2015.
Most Eligible Bachelor is the soundtrack album composed by Gopi Sundar, to the 2021 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film of the same name, directed by Bhaskar, starring Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde. The film was produced by Bunny Vas and Vasu Varma on GA2 Pictures. The film marked Gopi Sundar's second collaboration with Bhaskar after Bangalore Naatkal (2016).
