Recreation Park is the classification given by Ontario Parks to provincial parks which are primarily intended for recreation. They usually contain campgrounds, modern facilities, beaches, boat launches, picnic areas, hiking, and other utilities used in modern recreational camping. [1]

Southwick Beach State Park

Southwick Beach State Park is a New York State park that lies along an unusual stretch of sandy beach on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. The park is 464 acres (188 ha) in size with a 3,500 foot (1,100 m) length of beach, and is visited annually by about 100,000 people. Immediately to the south is the Lakeview Wildlife Management Area, which extends the publicly accessible beach by several miles. They are in the Town of Ellisburg in Jefferson County, New York south of the lakeside community of Jefferson Park.

Chutes Provincial Park

Chutes Provincial Park is a recreation class provincial park in Sables-Spanish Rivers, Ontario, Canada, near the community of Massey. The park is named after a logging chute that diverted logs around the waterfall on the River aux Sables. The waterfall is considered the main attraction at the park, along with the Seven Sisters Rapids found upstream from the waterfall.

Batchawana Bay Provincial Park

Batchawana Bay Provincial Park is a park in Algoma District, Ontario, Canada, located 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Sault Ste. Marie on Ontario Highway 17, and on Batchawana Bay on Lake Superior. It is a day-park, and is operated by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. The mouth of the Carp River is at the west end of the park.

Finlayson Point Provincial Park

Finlayson Point Provincial Park is a provincial park in Temagami, northeastern Ontario, Canada, just west of Ontario Highway 11. It offers access to Lake Temagami and the Lady Evelyn-Smoothwater Provincial Park. There is a plaque in the park honouring English naturalist Grey Owl.

St. Lawrence Parks Commission

The St. Lawrence Parks Commission is a Crown agency of the Government of Ontario that manages parks and heritage sites along the shoreline of the St. Lawrence River in southeastern Ontario. It functions similarly to the Niagara Parks Commission's role in overseeing attractions and conservation on the Ontario side of the Niagara River.

Ontario State Recreation Site

Ontario State Recreation Site is a state park in the U.S. state of Oregon, administered by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.

The Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries, was created on January 18, 2010 when the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism were combined under one ministry. Sport was added to the portfolio in 2011. It is responsible for the development of policies and programs and the operation of programs related to tourism, arts, cultural industries, heritage sectors and libraries, in Ontario. The Ministry works in partnership with its agencies, attractions, boards and commissions and the private sector to maximize the economic, cultural and social contributions of its agencies and attractions, while promoting the tourism industry and preserving Ontario's culture and heritage.

Mexico Point State Park

Mexico Point State Park is a 122-acre (0.49 km2) park on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario in the town of Mexico in Oswego County, New York. The park is located at the mouth of the Little Salmon River.

Beechwood State Park

Beechwood State Park is a 288-acre (1.17 km2) state park located on the shore of Lake Ontario in the Town of Sodus in Wayne County, New York. The park occupies land that was formerly the site of a Girl Scout camp. The park is owned by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and is currently operated by the Town of Sodus under an agreement with New York State.
