Harold Joseph "Pie" Traynor was an American third baseman,manager,scout and radio broadcaster in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played his entire career between 1920 and 1937 for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Traynor batted over .300 ten times,posting a career average of .320,and had seven seasons with over 100 runs batted in (RBI). With home runs limited by playing in Forbes Field,the most difficult park for power hitting in the National League (NL),he compensated by reaching double digits in triples eleven times,leading the league in 1923. He batted .346 in the 1925 World Series to help the Pirates take their first championship in 16 years.
Joe Leonard Morgan was an American professional baseball second baseman who played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Houston Colt .45s / Astros,Cincinnati Reds,San Francisco Giants,Philadelphia Phillies,and Oakland Athletics from 1963 to 1984. He won two World Series championships with the Reds in 1975 and 1976 and was also named the National League Most Valuable Player in each of those years. Considered one of the greatest second basemen of all time,Morgan was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1990.

In 1981,Grich led the American League in home runs and won a Silver Slugger Award. A six-time All-Star,he also excelled as a defensive player,winning four consecutive Gold Glove Awards between 1973 and 1976.
William Harold Terry was an American professional baseball first baseman and manager. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Giants from 1923 to 1936 and managed the Giants from 1932 to 1941. Terry was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1954. In 1999,he ranked number 59 on The Sporting News list of the 100 Greatest Baseball Players,and was a nominee for the Major League Baseball All-Century Team. The Giants retired Terry's uniform number 3 in 1984;it is posted on the facade of the upper deck in the left field corner of Oracle Park. Nicknamed "Memphis Bill",he is most remembered for being the last National League player to hit .400,a feat he accomplished by batting .401 in 1930.
William Donald Doran is a former second baseman in Major League Baseball who played from 1982 to 1993 with the Houston Astros,Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers. He was the bench coach for the Kansas City Royals from 2005 to 2007 and posted a 4-6 record as the Royals' interim manager to close the 2006 season. Doran rejoined the Reds on November 2,2007,as the minor league infielding/baserunning coordinator. William Derrick Bates is an American former professional baseball second baseman and pinch runner who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Cincinnati Reds. In 29 career games,Bates had a batting average of .125 with six hits,two runs batted in (RBI),11 runs,and eight stolen bases. Though his defensive position was at second base,the Reds primarily used Bates as a pinch runner. After he scored the winning run in Game 2 of the 1990 World Series,Bates never played in MLB again.
