The Music of Pakistan includes diverse elements ranging from music from various parts of South Asia as well as Central Asian, Middle Eastern, and modern-day Western popular music influences. With these multiple influences, a distinctive Pakistani music has emerged.

Nayyar always claimed famous singer Ahmed Rushdi as an important contributor to his career as he learned film playback singing from Rushdi. Nayyar and Akhlaq Ahmed remained dominant playback singers of the Pakistani film industry in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s.
Pathanay Khan or Pathane Khan was a legendary Saraiki folk singer from Pakistan. He mostly sang Kafis or Ghazals, usually drawing on the Sufi poetry of Khwaja Ghulam Farid and Shah Hussain. He was born in 1926 in the village Basti Tambu Wali, situated in the heart of the Thal Desert, several miles from Kot Addu, (Punjab).

He defeated a federal minister, Sher Afghan Khan Niazi, in the 2008 elections for the NA-72 constituency. He previously served as District Nazim of Mianwali from 2001 to 2005. From 1991 to 1993, he was the chairman of the Zila Council of Mianwali. He was also elected as the youngest sitting chairman at 25.

South Punjab, also proposed as Bahawalpur-South Punjab, are the names for the proposals to create a new province in Pakistan, out of the southern regions of Punjab. The proposed province comprises the Bahawalpur, Multan and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions. The proposed province would form about 52 percent of the total area and almost 40 percent of the population of the current Punjab province.
Sanwal "Atta" Esakhelvi is a British-Pakistani visual effects supervisor, sound designer, singer, musician and songwriter. Before establishing himself as a singer, Esakhelvi was a professional cricketer until 2006 and has worked in British film industry as a VFX artist and sound engineer. He released his first album Teray Khayal Mein (2017) and debuted as a featured artist in the tenth-season of Coke Studio along with his father.

As a multilingual singer, she worked in 1,500 albums written in different regional languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki and primarily in Pashto language. She is also credited for singing gazals, and also worked as a playback singer in Pashto films.
Shaykh-ul-Hadeeth Hazrat Maulana Fida-ur-Rehman Darkhwasti was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, academic and politician. He was the founder of Jamia Anwar-ul-Quran Adam Town North Karachi, former Central Emir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and former Emir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sindh Province, Emir of Pakistan Shariat Council and Patron of Jamia Makhzan-ul-Uloom Khanpur. He was the son of Abdullah Darkhawasti. He died in Islamabad on 1 January 2020.
