Stephen Williams is a Canadian film and television director. Williams has directed several modern-day television programs including work as a regular director on the ABC drama series Lost , [1] where he was also a co-executive producer.

Life and career

In 1995, Williams wrote and directed the film Soul Survivor , which starred his brother Peter in the main role. In 2004, he began directing on the ABC drama series Lost , and later also rose to the position of co-executive producer. [2]

Williams is married to Jocelyn Snowdon and the couple has a daughter together, also in addition to Stephen's twin sons, Gabriel and Justis. The couple now resides in the Los Angeles area. His brother is actor Peter Williams, best known for playing the Goa'uld Apophis on Stargate SG-1 .

<i>Lost</i> (season 2) Season of television series

The second season of the American serial drama television series Lost commenced airing in the United States and Canada on September 21, 2005, and concluded on May 24, 2006. The second season continues the stories of a group of over forty people who have been stranded on a remote island in the south Pacific, after their airplane crashed forty-four days prior to the beginning of the season. The producers have stated that as the first season is about introducing the survivors, the second season is about a 1970s scientific Dharma Initiative research station which the survivors discovered on the island and refer to as "The Hatch". The second season aired Wednesdays at 9:00 pm in the United States. In addition to the regular twenty-four episodes, three clip-shows recapped previous events on the show. "Destination Lost" aired before the premiere, "Lost: Revelation" aired before the tenth episode and "Lost: Reckoning" aired before the twentieth episode. The season was released on DVD as a seven disc boxed set under the title of Lost: The Complete Second Season – The Extended Experience on September 5, 2006, by Buena Vista Home Entertainment.

Tony Krantz is an American film and television producer, writer, and director. Krantz started his career in the American entertainment industry as an agent, spending 15 years at Creative Artists Agency (CAA). He started there as a mailroom trainee and rose to eventually run the primetime television department, where he personally packaged the television series ER, Twin Peaks,Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place and The West Wing, among many others. He also put together the movies The Doors and Wild at Heart. Under his leadership at CAA, there were 32 shows on the primetime lineup that the agency represented when Krantz left to start the next part of his career. Soul Survivor is a 1995 Canadian drama film directed by Stephen Williams, who also wrote the screenplay. Produced by Paul Brown, the film stars George Harris, Peter Williams, and Clark Johnson and is set in Toronto's African-Caribbean sector.
