Strangled Lives (Italian : Vite strozzate, French : Le jour du chien) is a 1996 French-Italian crime film directed by Ricky Tognazzi. It was entered into the 46th Berlin International Film Festival where it won the Alfred Bauer Prize. [1]

Salvatore Giuliano is a 1962 Italian film directed by Francesco Rosi. Shot in a neo-realist documentary, non-linear style, it follows the lives of those involved with the famous Sicilian bandit Salvatore Giuliano. Giuliano is mostly off-screen during the film and appears most notably as a corpse. In 2008, the film was included on the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage’s 100 Italian films to be saved, a list of 100 films that "have changed the collective memory of the country between 1942 and 1978."
