Submersed (sometimes typeset as SubmerseD) is an American rock band from Stephenville, Texas. They first disbanded in 2008, reuniting in late 2021, early 2022.
Submersed was signed to Wind-up Records, [1] and worked with Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti on its debut studio album, In Due Time , which featured the singles "You Run", "Hollow", and the title track. [2] In support of the album, the band performed in several cities across the US and Canada, sharing stages with Trapt, Crossfade, Seether, Rob Zombie, Chevelle, Mudvayne, Taproot, Alter Bridge and others. After a short break and the departure of guitarist Eric Friedman, the band continued work on their second studio album with producer Rick Beato. [5] Their sophomore and final album, Immortal Verses was released on September 18, 2007, and featured two singles: "Better Think Again" and "Price of Fame". The band toured the US again, sharing stages with 12 Stones, Evans Blue, Fuel and others. [6]
As disclosed in a blog on Submersed' Myspace, the band parted ways and was dropped from Wind Up Records. In the blog entry written by vocalist Donald Carpenter, he explained the breakup:
I know that all of you are wondering, what happened to Submersed? Well, the answers is... A lot.. This business and struggle to make it took its toll on the members... Two weeks before "Price of Fame" was slated for release, Tj, Kelan and Justin decided to move on with their lives and left SubmerseD. Garrett and I believing in "Price of Fame" made the choice to press on and see what could happen. Well, nothing happened... the single never had a chance... mind bottling... The fact is, is that a majority of our fanbase is unaccounted for due to Burning, making it impossible for the labels to understand just how many people really support us out there... When it comes down to it now, SubmerseD no longer has a place on Windup's roster and will be dropped shortly... I was trying to wait until things were a little more official before an announcement but you guys and gals are smart and I felt you deserved an explanation now rather than later.
On November 24, 2008, the band posted a blog on their MySpace that simply said "SUBMERSED WILL BE BACK!" No other details have been disclosed.
After the disbanding of Submersed, Donald Carpenter joined Million Man Army with Mike Moye and Nothing In Return with Lance Arny. After Million Man Army disbanded and Donald left Nothing In Return, he formed Eye Empire with former Dark New Day members, Corey Lowery and B.C. Kochmit., [7] but as of April 2014 was no longer a member. [8] Donald later became the vocalist for the band Apollo Under Fire. [9]
As of November 2020, Donald Carpenter had finished recording the debut album of his new project Blisskrieg, along with guitarist Todd Whitener, bassist Jesse Vest, and drummer Matt Taul, all former members of the bands Days of the New and Tantric. In early 2021, they released their album 'Remedy'. [10]
Eric Friedman played lead guitar for the Los Angeles band Daughters of Mara. After Daughters of Mara disbanded, Eric joined Creed as a touring guitarist during their 2009 and 2010 tours. In 2012, he is currently a member of the supergroup Projected [11] and of Tremonti as well, which also features Submersed drummer Garrett Whitlock. [12]
On March 4, 2019, SubmerseD had a partial reunion as Donald Carpenter, Eric Friedman, and Kelan Luker played a one-off acoustic set of SubmerseD songs for "Lukerpalooza," a benefit/remembrance concert for Seth Luker, SubmerseD's longtime manager (and Kelan's brother). The show took place at the Twisted J Live in Stephenville, Texas, and also featured sets by Drowning Pool, Tremonti, and others. They played a 6 song acoustic set, including To Peace, Dripping, Flicker, You Run, Unconcerned, and Hollow.

Creed was an American rock band from Tallahassee, Florida. Active from 1994 to 2004, and then from 2009 to 2012, Creed was prominent in the post-grunge movement of the mid-1990s. The band released three consecutive multi-platinum albums, with their album Human Clay being certified diamond. Creed has sold over 28 million records in the United States, has sold over 53 million albums worldwide, and was the ninth best-selling artist of the first decade of the 2000s. However, Creed has been panned by some critics and listeners; readers of Rolling Stone magazine ranked the band the worst artist of the 1990s.
Weathered is the third studio album by American rock band Creed, released on November 20, 2001. It was the last Creed album to be released until Full Circle came out in October 2009, with Creed disbanding in June 2004. It is the only Creed album to be recorded as a three-member band, as bassist Brian Marshall departed in August 2000. Vocalist Scott Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti wrote most of the material for the album during a three-week period in late 2000, following their successful tour to support their second album, Human Clay. Manager Jeff Hanson once again paired the band with longtime producer John Kurzweg, who rented out a private residence/recording studio in Ocoee, Florida owned by Jay Stanley, where the band would set up their studio inside to record the album. Recording sessions for the album began in July 2001, with Tremonti taking on bass guitar duties in Marshall's absence, and would last four months to complete.
Alter Bridge is an American rock band from Orlando, Florida. The band was formed in 2004 by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Myles Kennedy, lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips. After their former band Creed became inactive in 2003, Tremonti and Phillips formed a new band with former bandmate Marshall and new member Kennedy; Alter Bridge was formally unveiled in January 2004, months before Creed's official breakup in June.
Mark Thomas Tremonti is an American guitarist and singer, best known for his tenures with the rock bands Creed and Alter Bridge. He is a founding member of both bands, and has also collaborated with many other artists over the years. He formed his own band Tremonti in 2011 and has released five albums with them, including A Dying Machine, which was adapted by Tremonti and science fiction novelist John Shirley.
In Due Time is the 2004 debut studio album by Submersed, a hard rock band from Stephenville, Texas. The album was originally titled All Things Becoming of the End. The album was recorded and mixed, but eventually scrapped and renamed as the band began writing new material that they felt was far better. The song "Divide the Hate" was featured on the video game NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup.
"Bullets" is the second single from Creed's third album, Weathered. The song serves as the opening track to the album and is considered to be one of the band's heaviest songs.

Kelan Luker is a former American football player and rock musician and a current American football coach. He played at the quarterback position for Southern Methodist University and at the bass guitar position for the band Submersed.
Projected is an American rock supergroup consisting of Sevendust members John Connolly and Vinnie Hornsby, Alter Bridge and Creed drummer Scott Phillips, and former Submersed and current Tremonti guitarist Eric Friedman. The band released their album, Human, in June 2012, before falling into inactivity as members returned to their respective bands in late 2012. The band released their second studio album, the double album, Ignite My Insanity, in July 2017. They reconvened in early 2020 and finished recording their third album in July 2020.
Full Circle is the fourth studio album by American post-grunge band Creed, released on October 27, 2009. It was Creed's first release since disbanding in June 2004, prior to the release of their Greatest Hits compilation album in November 2004, and was their first studio album since Weathered in November 2001, as well as their first with their original bass guitarist Brian Marshall since his departure in August 2000. The record was produced by Howard Benson. The album was completed on July 31, 2009, as announced by Scott Stapp. The album cover was revealed through the band's official e-news on August 4, 2009. A two-disc version of Full Circle was released and contained a DVD with bonus content. The album had three music videos created for it: "Overcome" and "Rain" in 2009, and "A Thousand Faces" in 2010.
Eric Charles "Erock" Friedman is an American musician, best known as the current guitarist for Tremonti and former touring guitarist and backing vocalist for Creed. He played with the band on their 2009 United States reunion tour with Staind and their 2010 Tour with Skillet. He is the former lead guitarist for the band Submersed and also the former lead guitarist for Daughters of Mara. Submersed and Daughters of Mara both disbanded in 2008. He also currently plays lead guitar and co writes for the rock band Hemme. At the age of thirteen Friedman was the youngest guitarist at the time to be fully endorsed by Fender. His first introduction to Mark Tremonti was at a NAMM show where his then manager introduced them both. They subsequently jammed at one of the Rivera amp booths and noticed, that although they had different styles,, they both complemented each other.
Eye Empire was an American rock band formed in 2009, consisting of Corey Lowery and B.C. Kochmit, Donald Carpenter, Garrett Whitlock and Dixie Duncan. Will Hunt joined the band in 2010 before departing in 2011, replaced by Ryan Bennett.
Tremonti is an American heavy metal band founded and fronted by lead vocalist and guitarist Mark Tremonti, best known as the lead guitarist of the rock bands Creed and Alter Bridge. The band also consists of rhythm guitarist Eric Friedman, bassist Tanner Keegan and drummer Ryan Bennett. Bassist Wolfgang Van Halen and drummer Garrett Whitlock are former members of the band. Mark Tremonti's Creed and Alter Bridge bandmate Brian Marshall was also a touring member in 2012.

"You Waste Your Time" is a song by Tremonti that was released by FRET12 Records as the debut single from his debut solo album All I Was on May 7, 2012. It is also the first song to be released by Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti as a solo singer-songwriter. The song received positive reviews and its live music video premiered on May 17, 2012.
Human is the debut album by American hard rock band Projected. It was released on September 18, 2012. Initially envisioned as a solo project by founder John Connolly, the project eventually grew into a full-fledged band involving a number of musicians that he had intentions of working with, namely Scott Phillips of Creed and Alter Bridge, and Eric Friedman of Submersed. The album received generally positive reception but limited public exposure, as little promotion of the album in the way of touring was possible due to members' commitments to their respective bands.

Cauterize is the second studio album by Tremonti, a band fronted by Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti. In addition to Tremonti, who provides both lead vocals and guitar, the album features rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Eric Friedman and drummer Garrett Whitlock. It is the first Tremonti album to feature Wolfgang Van Halen, who replaced Brian Marshall as the band's bassist after the release of the band's first album, All I Was, in 2012. Cauterize was released on June 9, 2015 in the United States. The album was set to release in Australia on June 5 but saw an earlier release by a day, thus being released on June 4, 2015.
