Peter Tchernyshev is a Russian-American ice dancer. With skating partner Naomi Lang, he is a two-time Four Continents champion, a five-time U.S. national champion (1999–2003), and competed at the Winter Olympics in 2002.
A twizzle is "a multirotational, one-foot turn that moves across the ice" in the sport of figure skating. First performed by David Grant in 1990 the International Skating Union (ISU) defines a twizzle as "a traveling turn on one foot with one or more rotations which is quickly rotated with a continuous (uninterrupted) action". It is most often performed in ice dance, although single skaters and pair skaters also perform the element. Twizzles have been called "the quads of ice dance" because like quadruple jumps in other disciplines, twizzles are risky and technically demanding.
Massimo Scali is an Italian former competitive ice dancer. With partner Federica Faiella, he is the 2010 World bronze medalist, a two-time (2009–2010) European silver medalist, and a six-time Italian national champion. They also won eleven Grand Prix medals.

Marina Olegovna Zoueva or Zueva is a Russian figure skating coach, choreographer, and former competitor in ice dancing. Representing the Soviet Union with Andrei Vitman, she placed 5th at the 1977 World Championships and won two medals at Skate Canada International. She has coached a number of skaters to Olympic medals, including Ekaterina Gordeeva / Sergei Grinkov, Tessa Virtue / Scott Moir, Meryl Davis / Charlie White, and Maia Shibutani / Alex Shibutani.
Vanessa Crone is a Canadian former competitive ice dancer. She skated with Paul Poirier from 2001 to 2011, becoming the 2010 Grand Prix Final bronze medallist, 2011 Four Continents bronze medallist, 2008 World Junior silver medallist, and 2011 Canadian national champion.
Madison La'akea Te-Lan Hall Chock is an American ice dancer. With her skating partner, Evan Bates, she is a 2022 Olympic team event silver medalist, the 2023 World champion, a three-time World medalist, a four-time Grand Prix Final silver medalist, a three-time Four Continents champion, and a four-time U.S. national champion. She is a three-time Olympian, having represented the United States at the 2014, 2018, and 2022 Winter Olympics.
Maia Harumi Shibutani is an American ice dancer. Partnered with her brother Alex Shibutani, she is a two time 2018 Olympic bronze medalist, a three-time World medalist, the 2016 Four Continents champion, and a two-time U.S. national champion. The siblings have won six titles on the Grand Prix series and stood on the podium at 14 consecutive U.S. Championships, at five levels including eight as seniors. They are two-time members of the US Olympic team, competing at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics. In 2018, the siblings became the first ice dancers who are both of Asian descent to medal at the Olympics. They are the second sibling duo to ever share an ice dancing Olympic medal, and the first from the United States. The Shibutani siblings are often referred to by their nickname the Shib Sibs.

In 2018, they became the first ice dancers who are both of Asian descent to medal at the Olympics. They are the second sibling duo to ever share an ice dancing Olympic medal, and the first from the United States.
Andrew George "Andy" Stroukoff is an American former competitive ice dancer. With partner Susan Kelley, he represented the United States at the 1976 Winter Olympics, where they placed 17th. They represented the Skating Club of Boston

The 2016 ISU World Figure Skating Championships took place March 28 – April 3, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts. Figure skaters competed for the title of World champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs and ice dancing. This marked the first time Boston was host to the World Figure Skating Championships. The competition determined the number of athlete slots for each federation at the 2017 World Championships.
The 2016 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships were held from January 15–24 in Saint Paul, Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center and Bloomington Ice Garden. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies singles, pair skating, and ice dancing at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels. The results were part of the U.S. selection criteria for the 2016 Four Continents, 2016 World Junior Championships, and the 2016 World Championships.

Skaters earned points toward qualifying for the 2017–18 Grand Prix Final.
The ice dance competition in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 12 February and 14 February, at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Haidian District of Beijing. Gabriella Papadakis / Guillaume Cizeron of France won the event. Victoria Sinitsina / Nikita Katsalapov, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, won the silver medal, and Madison Hubbell / Zachary Donohue from the United States bronze.
