The Rest Is History is a history podcast hosted by historian and author Dominic Sandbrook and popular historian Tom Holland. [1] [2]

The podcast was launched in November 2020 and is produced by Goalhanger Podcasts. Goalhanger is owned by former England footballer Gary Lineker, and also produces the podcasts The Rest is Politics [3] and We Have Ways Of Making You Talk (Al Murray, James Holland). [4]

It is the highest ranked UK history podcast on Spotify and Apple, and in the top 10 in the US charts. [5] As of June 2023 it has 409 episodes and a rating of 9.7 on IMDb. [6] An article in The Times estimated Holland and Sandbrook make £70,000 per month from the podcast. [7] It received the 2023 President's Medal from the British Academy, the first time this had been awarded to a podcast. [8]

Taskmaster is a British comedy panel game show created by comedian and musician Alex Horne and presented by both Horne and Greg Davies.
