Trent Whiddon is an Australian dancer and choreographer, best known for his professional appearances on the BBC One dance series Strictly Come Dancing .

Early life

Whiddon started dancing at the age of seven. His mother encouraged him and he trained in a wide range of styles including Ballroom, Latin-American, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Hip Hop. At the age of 15 he represented Australia at the Junior British Championships, reaching the open final. In 2005 he competed as a Latin dancer with partner Peta Murgatroyd. [1]

Two years later he joined the cast of Burn the Floor. In his second tour with the show he became lead dancer and later served as Dance Captain and Company Manager.

Whiddon has also appeared as a professional dancer on Australia's Dancing with the Stars and has choreographed for two seasons of So You Think You Can Dance Australia , alongside his Slovenian wife Gordana Grandosek, whom he met in 2008 when they became dance partners and Australian Professional Ten Dance Champions. Television appearances

Strictly Come Dancing

On 6 August 2014 it was announced that Robin Windsor would not be competing as a professional in series 12 of the show, due to back injury, and he was replaced by Whiddon. [3] He was partnered with singer Pixie Lott. [2] The couple left the show in week 11, competing in the dance-off against Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff, and eliminated on the casting vote of head judge Len Goodman. On 23 April 2015 it was announced that Whiddon would not be returning for Series 13 of Strictly. [4]

Dancing with the Stars: Ireland

On 4 January 2019 Whiddon was announced as a replacement partner for model Holly Carpenter, after her original partner Curtis Pritchard was injured in a nightclub attack on 26 December 2018. They were the second couple to be eliminated.

Aleksandra 'Ola' Jordan, néeGrabowska; born 30 September 1982, is a Polish-born British professional ballroom dancer, specialising in Latin American dancing. Prior to this, after winning a championship event in her native Poland, Aleksandra Grabowska moved to England and began a new partnership with James Jordan. Kristina Rihanoff is a world finalist professional ballroom dancer, instructor, choreographer and author. She has a degree in Tourism and Hospitality; after finishing public school she studied with St Petersburg Branch of Modern Humanitarian Academy which has several colleges around Russia including Vladivostok.

Natalie Lowe is an Australian ballroom dancer. She is a four-time Australian ballroom dance champion. Lowe competed on, and won, Australia's Dancing with the Stars with celebrity partner Anthony Koutoufides. She later joined the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. She competed on Strictly for seven series, leaving after the 2016 series concluded.

She is best known for her appearances on the American edition of Dancing with the Stars, which she and her partners have won twice.

Kevin James Clifton is an English professional dancer and actor who was a professional dancer on the BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing, having previously worked as an assistant choreographer. He has also featured on Burn the Floor. He was given the nickname "Kevin from Grimsby" by Sir Bruce Forsyth.

Strictly Come Dancing returned for its twelfth series beginning from 7 September 2014 with a launch show, and the live shows began on 26 and 27 September. Burn the Floor is a live dance show which has performed around the world, including on Broadway in New York City and the West End in London. Since 1997, Burn the Floor has performed in over 130 countries worldwide. The show has also featured several alumni of various international versions of Strictly Come Dancing and So You Think You Can Dance.

Otlile "Oti" Mabuse is a South African talent show judge, presenter, dancer and Latin dance champion currently based in the United Kingdom. She is best known for being a professional dancer on the British television series Strictly Come Dancing, which she won in 2019 and 2020, and its German equivalent, Let's Dance. She was a Dance Captain on The Greatest Dancer. Since 2021, she has been a panellist on The Masked Dancer and became a judge on Dancing on Ice in 2022.

Strictly Come Dancing Live! is a nationwide arena tour in the United Kingdom which was first staged in 2008 and has continued every year since. It is directed and co-choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.
