The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2024 or simply Euro 2024, will be the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the European men's national teams of its member associations. Germany will host the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from 14 June to 14 July 2024 and the winner will later compete in the 2025 CONMEBOL–UEFA Cup of Champions against the 2024 Copa América winner. 24 teams will compete, with Georgia as the only team making their first appearance in a UEFA European Championship finals or a major international tournament.

The UEFA European Championship is the main football competition of the men's national football teams governed by UEFA. Held every four years since 1960, in the even-numbered year between World Cup tournaments, it was originally called the UEFA European Nations Cup, changing to the current name in 1968. Starting with the 1996 tournament, specific championships are often referred to in the form "Euro 2008" or whichever year is appropriate. Prior to entering the tournament, all teams other than the host nations compete in a qualifying process.

Before 1996, some of its players played for the Soviet Union national team and CIS national team – Oleksiy Mykhailychenko, Hennadiy Lytovchenko, Oleh Luzhnyi, Ivan Hetsko and others.

As of 2023, Hungary have appeared in four UEFA European Championships, with an upcoming fifth appearance in 2024. At the 1964 European Nations' Cup, they finished third after winning their play-off against Denmark, and at Euro 1972 they placed fourth.

After the completed dissolution of Yugoslavia in 2006, the Serbia national team did not qualify for the next four UEFA European Championships it played qualifiers for, before finally securing a spot at Euro 2024. Its official predecessor teams Yugoslavia and FR Yugoslavia/Serbia & Montenegro were more successful: the team representing "larger" Yugoslavia became European vice-champions twice while the union of Serbia and Montenegro reached the quarter-finals at Euro 2000.

The 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship was the 24th edition of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-21 national teams of Europe. A total of 16 teams played in the final tournament, and only players born on or after 1 January 2000 were eligible to participate.

The 2025 UEFA Champions League final will be the final match of the 2024–25 UEFA Champions League, the 70th season of Europe's premier club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the 33rd season since it was renamed from the European Champion Clubs' Cup to the UEFA Champions League. It will be played at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, on 31 May 2025. This will be the first UEFA Champions League final played under the new format of the Swiss-system.

League A culminated with the Nations League Finals in June 2023 to determine the champions of the competition.

Group A of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 14 to 23 June 2024. The group contains hosts Germany, Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland.

Group D of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 16 to 25 June 2024. The group contains Poland, the Netherlands, Austria and France.

Group E of UEFA Euro 2024 will take place from 17 to 26 June 2024. The group contains Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine.
