Van Roystadion is a stadium in Denderleeuw, Belgium. It is mainly used for football and is the home stadium of Dender EH. Built in 1997, it has a capacity of 6,429. [1] In 2008, the FCV Dender EH-management decided to build a new stadium, because the old one didn't fit to League One conditions. It was created by local architect Frank Leenknegt and was known as the Florent Beeckmanstadion until 2011 when it was renamed to its current name.

The 2007–08 season of the Belgian First Division began on August 3, 2007 and concluded on May 10, 2008. The championship was decided in the 31st round on April 20, 2008, when Standard Liège beat Anderlecht 2–0 at home. For Standard it was their 9th League Championship, but just their first in the last 25 years. At the other end of the table, Brussels and Sint-Truiden were relegated on matchdays 31 and 32 respectively. Behind Standard, Anderlecht and Club Brugge fought until the end for the second place which gives right to a place in the qualifying rounds of the 2008–09 UEFA Champions League. On the penultimate matchday, Anderlecht won against Brugge with 2–0 which proved decisive in the end for them to become second.

Ignazio Cocchiere is an Italian footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Belgian Second Division Amateurs club SC Eendracht Aalst. He signed for SC Eendracht Aalst in 2019 after playing for FCV Dender EH for 3 years, having previously been one of the crowd favourites for the club Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, having played an integral part in their promotion to the Belgian Second Division during the 2014–15 season. Quickly after his arrival at FCV Dender EH he started making an impact at his new club and with his total of 18 goals he contributed greatly to the successful 2016–17 season. Even though the 2017-2018 season is less successful for FCV Dender EH, Cocchiere still managed to score 12 goals. In 2018-2019 he managed to score another 13 goals, after the 2018-2019 season, he went to SC Eendracht Aalst who were relegated to the Second Division Amateurs.
