Willem II Vrouwen was the women's football section of Willem II football club from Tilburg, the Netherlands. They were founder members of the Eredivisie Vrouwen in 2007. In February 2011 Willem II announced they were withdrawing support for their women's section, for financial reasons. [1]

Koning Willem II Stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Tilburg, Netherlands, and the home ground of Willem II Tilburg. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium is able to hold 14,700 people, was built in 1995 and renovated in 2000 to add business lodges, a restaurant, conference rooms, business club and a supporters bar to the main building.
The Vrouwen Eredivisie, also known as the Azerion Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a 3 year sponsor contract starting from the 2022–2023 season, is the highest women's football league in the Netherlands. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) it was established in 2007 as a professional league and played for five seasons until 2012 when the leagues of the Netherlands and Belgium merged forming a single combined league. After three seasons the BeNe League folded and the Eredivisie was restarted in the 2015–16 season. The league winner receives a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
Kirsten Johanna Maria van de Ven is a former Dutch professional footballer. Prior to her professional career, she played College soccer in the United States. Professionally she played in the Dutch league (Eredivisie) for Willem II Tilburg and FC Twente, and in the Swedish league (Damallsvenskan) for Tyresö FF and FC Rosengård. She won titles at clubs in both Sweden and the Netherlands, as an international player she was a member of the Netherlands women's national football team, and represented her country at the 2009 and 2013 editions of the UEFA Women's Championship, and the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.
