William Kamuren Chirchir Chepkut (died 8 October 2022) was a Kenyan politician who served as member of the National Assembly for the Ainabkoi Constituency between 2017 and 2022. [1] He lost his seat to Samuel Chepkonga in the 2022 Kenyan general election. [2]

Early years and education

Between 1992 and 1995 he studied at Jabalpur University in India to study Bachelor of Commerce. He furthered his education at Kenyatta University where he acquired master's of Arts in Community Development and Organization. [3] He was a member of the Special Funds Account Committee and the Committee on Appointments in the parliament. [1]

Personal life and death

On the morning of 8 October 2022, Chepkut collapsed at his house and was rushed to Mediheal Hospital in Nairobi, where he was pronounced dead. [4] [5] [6]

Mary Wamaua Waithira Noroge is a Kenyan politician. She is currently Member of Parliament for Maragua Constituency in Murang’a County.

James Mathenge Kanini is a Kenyan politician, popularly known as Kanini Kega. He was the former Member of Parliament for Kieni Constituency representing the Jubilee coalition.

Didmus Wekesa Barasa is a Kenyan politician and ex-military officer. He is the current member of parliament representing Kimilili constituency since 2017.

Geoffrey Rigathi Gachagua is a Kenyan politician who has served as the Deputy President of Kenya since 2022. He previously served as the Member of Parliament for Mathira Constituency between 2017 and 2022 as member of the Jubilee Party. In the 2022 election, William Ruto selected Gachagua as his running mate, and the two were elected with just over 50% of the vote.
