The Venice Film Festival or Venice International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Venice, Italy. It is the world's oldest film festival and one of the "Big Five" International film festivals worldwide, which include the Big Three European Film Festivals, alongside the Toronto Film Festival in Canada and the Sundance Film Festival in the United States.These festivals are internationally renowned for giving creators the artistic freedom to express themselves through film. In 1951, FIAPF formally accredited the festival.

He is best known for his award-winning films Piravi (1988), Swaham (1994), Vanaprastham (1999) and Kutty Srank (2009). He won the National Award for Best Director for his debut film Piravi. He also won two Kerala State Film Awards for Best Director for his films Swaham and Vanaprastham. Currently, he is the Chairman of Kerala State Film Development Corporation.
The Hawai'i International Film Festival (HIFF) is an annual film festival held in the United States state of Hawaii.
Fantasia International Film Festival is a genre film festival that has been based mainly in Montreal since its founding in 1996. It focuses on niche, low budget movies in various genres, from horror to sci-fi. Regularly held in July/August, by 2016 its annual audience had already surpassed 100,000 viewers and outgrown even the Montreal World Film Festival.

Taher Ali Baig is an Indian playwright who marked his directorial debut in theatre in 2014. The Oakville Festivals of Film and Art is a not-for-profit organization that runs the Oakville Film Festival, as well as special screening and Arts events such as the Sheridan/OFFA Annual Screening series. The festival celebrated its 10th year in 2023, and has been held the third week of June every year for over 10 years. The festival includes a juried award competition with senior members of the Canadian film and production communities, and Audience Choice Awards for the best feature and best short film. Cult Critic Movie Awards is an IMDb Award listing live screening award event that takes place in Kolkata and features art-house cult films from across the world. The Cult Critic Films Magazine started this award event in 2017 in Kolkata.
Martin Helstáb is a Hungarian film director, visual artist, and composer. His animated short films gained international recognition, followed by his 2021 experimental feature film Zazongpari for which he won the Luis Buñuel Memorial Award. His works usually operate with absurd humor, themed after the connection of humans and animals or monsters, presented in surreal scenes. He works mostly alone on his movies.
