Baudouin, Dutch name Boudewijn, was King of the Belgians from 1951 until his death in 1993. He was the last Belgian king to be sovereign of the Congo.
Belgium is a constitutional, hereditary, and popular monarchy. The monarch is titled king or queen of the Belgians and serves as the country's head of state. There have been seven kings since independence in 1830.
Laeken or Laken is a residential suburb in the north-western part of the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. It belongs to the municipality of the City of Brussels and is mostly identified by the Belgian postal code: 1020. Prior to 1921, it was a separate municipality.
