The 1995 Jacksonville Jaguars season was the franchise's 1st season in the National Football League and the 1st under head coach Tom Coughlin. The Jaguars finished with a 4-12 record in their debut season and failed to qualify for the playoffs. However, they ended the season on a high note defeating the Cleveland Browns 24-21 on December 24 of that year.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. The Jaguars compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) South Division. The team plays its home games at EverBank Stadium.
Douglas Irvin Pederson is an American football coach and former player who is the head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). Pederson played professionally as a quarterback, spending most of his 13-season career as a backup to Brett Favre on the Green Bay Packers, where he was a member of the team that won Super Bowl XXXI. Pederson was also a backup to Dan Marino on the Miami Dolphins and a starter for the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns until retiring in 2004.
The 1995 NFL season was the 76th regular season of the National Football League (NFL). The league expanded to 30 teams with the addition of the Carolina Panthers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The two expansion teams were slotted into the two remaining divisions that previously had only four teams : the AFC Central (Jaguars) and the NFC West (Panthers).
Carnell Augustino Lake is an American former professional football player and coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Memphis Showboats of the United Football League (UFL). He was a safety and cornerback in the National Football League (NFL). He is a member of the NFL 1990s All-Decade Team. He was the cornerbacks coach for the UCLA Bruins under head coach Rick Neuheisel in 2009 before leaving after one season for family reasons. He was the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive backs coach until February 2018.
Maurice Christopher Jones-Drew, often called "MJD", is an American former football running back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He played college football for the UCLA Bruins, earning unanimous All-American honors in 2005.
Jimmy Lee Smith Jr. is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars. He played college football for the Jackson State Tigers. With the Cowboys, he won two consecutive Super Bowls over the Buffalo Bills.
Michael Shane Hollis is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL) from 1994 to 2003. He led the NFL in scoring and becoming the most accurate kicker in NFL history during that time. He spent most of his nine-year NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, kicking for the team from 1995–2001 and setting several team records. He then played for the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants before initially retiring after an injury in 2003. He signed with the Jacksonville Sharks in 2022 after almost 20 years of retirement.
The 1995 Cleveland Browns season was the team's 50th season overall and 46th in the National Football League. It ultimately became their final NFL season until 1999, their final season at Cleveland Stadium, and Bill Belichick's final year as Browns head coach. The team finished 5–11, fourth in the AFC Central, though most of the season was overshadowed by the Cleveland Browns relocation controversy. The team was documented in NFL Network's A Football Life.
Calais Malik Campbell is an American football defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Miami Hurricanes and was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft.
Kevin Eugene Lockett is a former American football wide receiver and punt returner in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. He played college football at Kansas State University where he was a football and Academic All-American. He went to high school at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa.
The 1999 season was the Jacksonville Jaguars' 5th in the National Football League and their fifth under head coach Tom Coughlin. Wide receiver Jimmy Smith set a franchise record for most receptions and receiving yards in one season. Smith would finish second in the NFL in receiving yards with 1,636 yards. The Jaguars’ regular season record of 14–2 still stands as their best record in franchise history. This would be the last time Jacksonville made the playoffs until 2005, the last season the team won a playoff game until 2007 and the last time the Jaguars won any division title until they won the AFC South title in 2017.
Bryan Corey Anger is an American football punter for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the California Golden Bears and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Anger has also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans.
Tashaun James Gipson Sr. is an American football safety for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Wyoming and signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Gipson has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans and Chicago Bears.
Jalen Lattrel Ramsey is an American football cornerback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Florida State and was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars fifth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Ashley Guy Sheppard is a former American football linebacker who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars and St. Louis Rams. He was drafted by the Vikings in the fourth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He played college football at Clemson University. Sheppard first enrolled at North Pitt High School in Bethel, North Carolina before transferring to Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Virginia.
Santo Sean Stephens is a former American football linebacker who played three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals and Jacksonville Jaguars. He played college football at Temple University and attended Forestville High School in Forestville, Maryland.
James Robinson is an American football running back for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Illinois State and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2020, and was traded to the New York Jets in 2022. In 2020, Robinson broke the National Football League (NFL) record for most scrimmage yards of any undrafted rookie.
