The 2015 Tanzania road accident occurred on 11 March 2015 when a bus and two lorries collided in Tanzania. At least 41 people died and another 23 were wounded. [1] [2] [3] [4] The crash took place in Iringa Region. [5]

A multiple vehicle collision, is a road traffic collision involving many vehicles. Generally occurring on high-capacity and high-speed routes such as freeways, they are one of the deadliest forms of traffic collisions. The most disastrous pileups have involved more than a hundred vehicles.

On April 13, 2014, shortly after midnight, a bus traveling from Villahermosa to Mexico City collided with a broken-down truck and caught fire, killing at least 36 people, all of whom were businesspeople from the Veracruz region. There were four survivors. The collision took place near the municipality of Juan Rodriguez Clara, which is itself near Acayucan. The bus was owned by a car-rental company called "Turtle", and the truck was owned by a milk protein company called "Prolat". The truck had been on the shoulder of the highway prior to being hit by the bus. Javier Duarte, the governor of Veracruz, said that because the bus caught fire, it will be much more difficult to identify the victims' bodies. A Veracruz Civil Defense Agency official said the victims probably burned to death inside the bus.

The 2015 Karachi traffic accident occurred on 10 January 2015, when a passenger bus in transit from Karachi to Shikarpur crashed into an oil tanker killing up to 62 people including 6 children. The bus was carrying up to 80 people, with 62 inside the bus and 10 on top, due to overcrowding. Traveling in the morning, most of the passengers were asleep when the bus crashed.

At least 53 people were killed and 23 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Ghana on 18 February 2016. Five children were among the wounded. The government-operated bus was heading to Tamale when it collided head-on with the cargo truck, which was carrying tomatoes, near the town of Kintampo on Wednesday evening. A regional police spokesman said: “It was very serious ... we had to use chainsaws to cut through parts of the mangled bus to get bodies and survivors out. The police affirmed it was one of the worst road accidents in Ghana in years. Even if the cause of the accident is unknown, some sources said that it could have been a problem of brakes, but speeding could also have been the cause. It seems the bus was overloaded, carrying more than the maximum of 63 passengers.

Two trains collided on the main line in Semnan Province between Semnan and Damghan, Iran, on 25 November 2016, resulting in 49 deaths and 103 injuries. There were reported difficulties with the rescue operation due to the incident's remote location 4 km from the nearest station, Haft-Khan, and because only one helicopter could reach the scene immediately to join the rescue operation. It was the deadliest rail disaster in Iran since the Nishapur train disaster in 2004.

On 8 January 2023, 40 people were killed and 101 injured in central Senegal when two buses collided in Gniby near the regional capital of Kaffrine on the N1 national road.

On 30 June 2023, a lorry carrying a shipping container went out of control and hit several vehicles, pedestrians and market traders on a road in Londiani, Kericho County, Kenya, killing at least 52 people and injuring at least 30.
