Aki and Pawpaw is a 2021 Nigerian comedy film co-produced by Play Network Studios and Film One Entertainment. [1] The comedy film directed by Biodun Stephen, written by Steph Boyo and Ozioma Ogbaji was a remake of the Aki na Ukwa 2002 comedic movie produced by Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme. [2] [3] [1] It was released on 15 December 2021, showing in cinemas nationwide on 17 December 2021. [4] The comedy stars Amechi Muonagor, Real Warri Pikin, Blessing Jessica Obasi, Charles Inojie, Chioma Okafor, Uti Nwachukwu, Toyin Abraham, Stan Nze, Juliet Ibrahim, Calabar Chic, and Francis Sule.

Synopsis

Aki and Pawpaw accidentally fall into fame and wealth they craved for through the help of social media with one of their tricks and now must deal with the problems that come from wealth and fame. [5]

Aki na Ukwa is a 2002 Nigerian family comedy film directed by Amayo Uzo Philips. The film stars Osita Iheme and Chinedu Ikedieze. The film launched the acting careers of the two actors Osita and Chinedu and this film marked their maiden collaboration. He is known as Aki for his performance in the film Aki na Ukwa. In 2011, he married fashion designer Nneoma Nwaijah and the couple had their first child in 2012.

He joined the Nigerian movie industry Nollywood in 1998 and had starred in many movies including Taboo 1 (1989), Aki and Pawpaw, Karishika (1998), and Aki na Ukwa (2002), Igodo (1999).
