Amason Kingi Jeffah EGH (born in 1973 [1] ) is a Kenyan politician currently serving as the Speaker of the Senate of Kenya. He is a member of the Pamoja African Alliance party,which he founded,and the Kenya Kwanza alliance. He served as the first governor of Kilifi County from 2013 to 2022,having been elected twice to the position.
He formed his own party,Pamoja African Alliance which later joined the United Democratic Alliance,FORD–Kenya,the Amani National Congress and other small parties to form the Kenya Kwanza alliance,which was elected into government in the 2022 Kenyan general election. [2]
Kingi studied law and graduated from the University of Nairobi in 1998. As a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM),he was elected to represent the Magarini Constituency in parliament during the 2007 Kenyan parliamentary election. [3]
His growing reputation was spotted by president Mwai Kibaki and prime minister Raila Odinga,who gave him a position as Minister for the East African Community in the Grand Coalition government that was formed after the 2007 post-election violence. [4] He served as Minister for Fisheries Development from 2010 to 2013.
Kingi ran for and won the governorship of Kilifi County in 2013,and he was reelected in 2017. [5] He established the Pamoja African Alliance party in an effort to free coastal Kenya from ODM's control. [6] This party originally aligned itself with Azimio la Umoja,which supported Raila Odinga for president,but severed relations with the group in 2022 and joined Kenya Kwanza,which supported William Ruto. Kenya Kwanza and Ruto won the 2022 elections,and Kingi was elected Speaker of the Senate. [7]
Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka is a Kenyan politician who was the tenth Vice-President of Kenya from 2008 to 2013. Musyoka served in the government under the late President Daniel arap Moi as the Secretary of Kenya African National Union party (1980-1988),Assistant Minister for Works (1986-1988),Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (1988-1992),Minister for Foreign Affairs from 1993 until 1998,Minister of Education (1998-2001);and subsequently,under the late President Mwai Kibaki,he was Minister of Foreign Affairs again from 2003 to 2004,then Minister of the Environment from 2004 to 2005. He was an unsuccessful candidate in the 2007 presidential election,after which he was appointed vice-president by Kibaki in January 2008.

Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi is a Kenyan politician and land economist who is currently serving as the Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya. During Kenya's 59th Jamhuri Day,Ndindi was feted by President William Ruto with an honour of Chief of Burning Spear (CBS) for his exemplary development record in Kiharu constituency.
Aisha Jumwa Karisa Katana is a Kenyan politician currently serving as the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service,Affirmative Action and Gender in Kenya. She previously served as a Member of Parliament representing Malindi Constituency in Kilifi County,Commissioner of the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC),the woman representative for Kilifi County from 2013 to 2017,and as Councillor for Takaungu Ward from 1997 to 2007. The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was a proposed set of amendments to the Constitution of Kenya initially proposed in October 2019. In the wake of the 2017 general election annulment and subsequent re-run,incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta mandated the formation of the Presidential Taskforce on Building Bridges to Unity Advisory on 31 May 2018. Kenya Kwanza is a Kenyan political alliance currently headed by William Ruto. The political coalition currently holds a majority in both the National Assembly and Senate of Kenya. It was formed in the period leading up to the 2022 Kenyan general election,originally consisting of three parties:the United Democratic Alliance (UDA),Amani National Congress and FORD–Kenya. By 8 April 2022,several more political parties had joined the alliance,bringing the total number of constituent parties to 12. On 18 August 2022,a number of politicians from the United Democratic Movement announced they would be joining the alliance.
