The Regina Rams represent the University of Regina, located in Regina, Saskatchewan in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports. The Rams joined U Sports in 1999 and have competed in the Canada West Conference since then. Agustín "Auggie" Barrenechea is a former professional American football linebacker who played for eight years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. In 120 regular season games, Barrenechea racked up 240 defensive tackles, 55 special teams tackles, seven quarterback sacks and five interceptions. He secured the starting Middle Linebacker role his rookie year and proceeded to lead the Hamilton Defense in tackles in 2005 recording the franchise's 3rd highest single season defensive tackles. During his time in Edmonton he once again secured the starting Middle Linebacker position leading the Edmonton Eskimos in defensive tackles.
Matthew John Walter is a retired professional Canadian football running back. Walter spent 4 seasons with the Calgary Stampeders, he was most recently a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted 34th overall by the Calgary Stampeders in the 2011 CFL Draft and was originally signed by the team on May 26, 2011. He played CIS football for the Calgary Dinos and played for the Stampeders from 2011 to 2015.
Anthony Lawrence Parker is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders and played with that organization for seven years, winning a Grey Cup championship in 2014. He played CIS football for the Calgary Dinos.

The Calgary Dinos football team represents the University of Calgary in the sport of Canadian football in U Sports. The program has been in operation since 1964, winning the Vanier Cup national championship five times, the most out of any of the Canada West teams. The Dinos have also won the Hardy Trophy conference championship 18 times, including six consecutive wins from 2008 to 2013. The team appeared in the 2013 and 2016 Vanier Cup, but lost both years to the Laval Rouge et Or.
