Andru Phillips (born November 30, 2001) is an American football cornerback for the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Kentucky.

Early life and high school

Phillips was born on November 30, 2001, in Birmingham, Alabama. [1] He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and Louisville, Kentucky, before attended Mauldin High School in Mauldin, South Carolina. [1] In Phillips senior season, he notched 38 tackles, eight pass deflections, and two interceptions. [2] Phillips committed to play college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. [3] [4]

College career

In the 2020 season, Phillips decided to use the season to redshirt. [5] In 2021, Phillips played in nine games making three tackles. [6] Phillips entered the 2022 season, as a week one starter versus Miami (OH). [7] In the 2022 season, Phillips made 31 tackles with one and half going for a loss, and five pass deflections. [8] In the 2023 regular season, Phillips totaled 44 tackles, and four pass deflections. [9] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Phillips declared for the 2024 NFL draft. [10] [11]

Phillips finished his career at Kentucky with 80 tackles, with two and a half being for a loss, and nine pass deflections. [12]
