The Corruption Eradication Commission,abbreviated as KPK,is an Indonesian government agency established to prevent and fight corruption in the country.

Usman served on the Constitutional Court for four years prior to his confirmation as Deputy Chief Justice. Before replacing Arsyad Sanusi as a sitting justice on the court in April 2011,Usman was a high court judge in Jakarta as well as the manager of human resources at the Supreme Court of Indonesia.
Muhammad Alim was an Indonesian judge and a justice on the Constitutional Court of Indonesia. A career judge,Alim was appointed to the Constitutional Court by former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Indonesia Bagir Manan in 2008. Alim earned his undergraduate degree from Hasanuddin University in his home province of South Sulawesi,and his master's degree and PhD in constitutional law from the Islamic University of Indonesia in Yogyakarta.

He holds the record for having been the youngest ever justice of the Indonesian Constitutional Court. November 2016 Jakarta protests refer to an Islamist mass protest which took place on 4 November 2016 in Jakarta,Indonesia. It was attended by an estimated 50,000–200,000 protesters,and was aimed against the Governor of Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama,for alleged blasphemy of the Quran,the Islamic holy book. A counter-protest led by government officials and social activists in support of interfaith unity was led on 30 November.

February 2017 Jakarta protests refer to a series of mass protest led by Islamist movements which took place on 11 February 2017 and 21 February 2017 in Jakarta,Indonesia,and dubbed as the Action 112 and the Action 212 respectively. The protests were aimed against the incumbent governor of Jakarta Special Capital Region Basuki Tjahaja Purnama for an alleged blasphemy of the Quran,the Islamic holy book.
December 2016 Jakarta protests,also known as 212 Action,the 3rd Defend Islam Action,and the 2 December Protest,was a mass protest led by Islamist groups which took place on 2 December 2016,in Jakarta,Indonesia. During the protest,marchers demanded the termination of the gubernatorial office held by Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok),who had been accused of blasphemy. The protest was the second demonstration against Ahok in 2016 following the previous rally which took place on 4 November,and it was succeeded by the February 2017 Jakarta protests.

Achmad Dimyati Natakusumah is an Indonesian politician who is a member of the People's Representative Council since 2019,and previously between 2009 and 2018. Natakusumah was also the regent of Pandeglang Regency between 2000 and 2009.
A series of mass protests led by students took place at major cities in Indonesia from 23 September 2019,to rally against new legislation that reduces the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK),as well as several bills including a new criminal code that penalises extramarital sex and defamation against the president. The protesters consisted of mostly students from over 300 universities,with no association with any particular political parties or groups. The protests were the most prominent student movement in Indonesia since the 1998 riots that brought down the Suharto regime.
