In 2011, Centennial was recognized as a California Distinguished School for achieving an Academic Performance Index score of 850, the highest in the Kern High School District.

Bemidji High School is a public high school in Bemidji, Minnesota, United States. The school is situated on a 260-acre (1.1 km2) campus two miles (3 km) west of downtown Bemidji. Jerry Richard Louis Marion is a former American football wide receiver who played one season with the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the tenth round of the 1966 NFL Draft. He was also drafted in the eleventh round of the 1966 AFL Redshirt Draft by the Boston Patriots of the American Football League. Marion played college football at the University of Wyoming and attended Bakersfield High School in Bakersfield, California. He is the father of NFL player Brock Marion.
