Scouting, also known as the Scout Movement, is a worldwide youth social movement employing the Scout method, a program of informal education with an emphasis on practical outdoor activities, including camping, woodcraft, aquatics, hiking, backpacking, and sports. Another widely recognized movement characteristic is the Scout uniform, by intent hiding all differences of social standing in a country and encouraging equality, with neckerchief and campaign hat or comparable headwear. Distinctive uniform insignia include the fleur-de-lis and the trefoil, as well as merit badges and other patches.
The Scout Association of Guyana, is a Scouting organization in Guyana formed in 1967 as a successor to the British Guiana branch of The Scout Association of the United Kingdom. The association became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1967. In 2008, the association had 424 members.
Scouts South Africa is the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) recognised Scout association in South Africa. Scouting began in the United Kingdom in 1907 through the efforts of Robert Baden-Powell and rapidly spread to South Africa, with the first Scout troops appearing in 1908. Magyar Cserkészszövetség, the primary national Scouting organization of Hungary, was founded in 1912, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1922 and again after the rebirth of Scouting in the country in 1990. Scouting was founded in Pakistan as part of the British Indian branch of The Scout Association. The PBSA was officially founded in 1947, immediately after independence from the British and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in April 1948.

Scouting was founded in the British Gold Coast Colony in 1911 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1960. The association has 3,919 members as of 2011. Scouts of Greece or Soma Hellinon Proskopon is the National Scouting Association of Greece and is the World Organization of the Scout Movement's recognized member organization for Greece. Scouts of Greece was founded in 1910 and is a founding member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement that was established in 1922. The association, as of 2018 has approximately 20.000 members and is amongst the largest youth organizations in Greece.

Sir Frank Leslie Walcott, KA, OBE was a Barbadian trade unionist, politician, ambassador and one of the eleven National Heroes of Barbados. He played a key role in organizing the Barbados labour movement and was a major figure in stimulating participation in the nation's political process.
