The 2018/19 Champions were RC La Hulpe. In 2018 RFC Liégeois was relegated having finished bottom of the Elite League and RC Frameries were promoted from the 2nd Division.

Watermael-Boitsfort or Watermaal-Bosvoorde, often simply called Boitsfort in French or Bosvoorde in Dutch, is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. Located in the south-eastern part of the region, it is bordered by Auderghem, the City of Brussels, Ixelles, and Uccle, as well as the Flemish municipalities of Hoeilaart, Overijse and Sint-Genesius-Rode. Sporting Club de Bruxelles was an ephemeric football club in Belgium that existed only for three years. It was founded in 1894 as Ixelles Sporting Club but the name was changed to Sporting Club de Bruxelles before the first Belgian Championship was held in 1895–96. The club finished 3rd behind F.C. Liégeois and Antwerp FC. However, the club withdrew during the next season and was dissolved.

The Switzerland women's national rugby union team are a national sporting side of Switzerland, representing them at rugby union.

The Belgian Cup is the premier Rugby Union knock-out competition in Belgium and is organised by the Belgian Rugby Federation. The cup has been held annually since the 1967–68 season. Boitsfort RC have won the trophy more times than any other team, with thirteen victories, and also hold the record for the most successive victories, with seven between 2002 and 2008. The 2012–13 Belgian Elite League was the 72nd season of the Belgian Elite League, the top flight men's rugby union league in Belgium. Kituro RC won the championship playoffs, while Dendermondse RC were relegated. In total 8 teams participated.

In 2009–10 Belgian Elite League, the top tier of professional rugby union in Belgium—was won by Boitsfort Rugby Club.

The 2010–11 Belgian Elite League pitted eight Belgian rugby teams. It starts on 12 September 2010 and ending with a final game on 7 May 2011 in the King Baudouin Stadium. The Royal Kituro Rugby Club won the competition by defeating the defending champion, Boitsfort Rugby Club, with a score of 13-8.

The 2011–12 Belgian Elite League is a competition between eight Belgian rugby teams. It started on 17 September 2011 and ended with a final game on 12 May 2012 at the King Baudouin Stadium. The competition was won by Rugby Ottignies Club who beat the Royal Kituro Rugby Club in the final game with a score of 20–6.

The Royal Kituro Avia Schaerbeek Rugby Club, often shortened Kituro RC, is a Belgian rugby union club currently competing in the Belgian Elite League. On 8th February 2015, they beat RC Soignies 356-3, breaking the all-time record for the highest scoring game in Rugby union history.

The 2007–08 Belgian Elite League pitted eight Belgian rugby teams. Competition began on 23 September 2007 and ended with the final game on 17 May 2008 at the King Baudouin Stadium. The Boitsfort Rugby Club won the championship by beating ASUB Waterloo in the final of the playoffs by the score of 27-7. This is the eighth consecutive title for Boitsfort and fifteenth in its history.

The 2012–13 Belgian Elite League was the 76th season of the Belgian Elite League, the top flight men's rugby union league in Belgium. The season saw the return of the Liegeois rugby club Coq Mosan, who were relegated to 2nd division after the 2010-2011 season. They managed to evade relegation by beating the rugby club BUC from Evere, who were relegated instead. The Championship was claimed by ASUB Rugby Waterloo who won their first Championship title since 1998.

The North Sea Cup was an annual rugby union championship for club teams from Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, held since 2011. The championship was sanctioned by rugby's European governing body, the FIRA – Association of European Rugby (FIRA-AER).
