Rachael Heyhoe Flint,Baroness Heyhoe Flint,was an English cricketer,businesswoman and philanthropist. She was best known for being captain of England from 1966 to 1978,and was unbeaten in six Test series:in total,she played for the English women's cricket team from 1960 to 1982. Heyhoe Flint was captain when her team won the inaugural 1973 Women's Cricket World Cup,which England hosted. She was also the first female cricketer to hit a six in a Test match,and one of the first ten women to become a member of the MCC.
Douglas John Insole was an English cricketer,who played for Cambridge University,Essex and in nine Test matches for England,five of them on the 1956–57 tour of South Africa,where he was vice-captain to Peter May. After retiring from playing,he was prominent in cricket administration,and served as chairman of the England selectors and as President of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Ronald Aird was an English first-class cricketer,cricket administrator and British Army officer. Aird began his first-class cricket career with Hampshire County Cricket Club in 1920,making over 100 appearances for the county in which he scored over 3,600 runs. After also playing first-class cricket for Cambridge University Cricket Club while studying at Clare College,Aird was appointed assistant secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) in 1926,which restricted his appearances in first-class cricket thereafter. He served as assistant secretary under William Findlay and Rowan Rait Kerr,and was himself elected secretary following Kerr's retirement in 1952. Aird remained in the post until 1962 and became MCC president in 1968,the year in which he chaired the special general meeting of the MCC over relations with South Africa during the D'Oliveira affair. He later served as president of Hampshire County Cricket Club from 1971 to 1983. Outside of cricket,Aird served in the Second World War with the Royal Armoured Corps and was decorated with the Military Cross.
William Caldwell McClelland CBE was a medical doctor and an Australian rules football player and administrator. Born at Buninyong,on Victoria's goldfields,to an Irish-born father (David) and his Victorian-born wife (Mary),McClelland went to Brighton Grammar School and then to the University of Melbourne,where he was awarded a BA in 1899,MA in 1901 and MB,BS in 1905.
Clare Elizabeth Taylor is an English sportswoman,the first woman to have played on a World Cup team in both cricket and football. She represented England at both cricket,as a member of the winning World Cup cricket team in 1993,and football. Taylor attended Moor End High School and still has her name on the athletics records board. Taylor was the first bowler for England to take 100 wickets in WODIs.
Harry Surtees Altham was an English cricketer who became an important figure in the game as an administrator,historian and coach. His Wisden obituary described him as "among the best known personalities in the world of cricket". He died of a heart attack just after he had given an address to a cricket society.
Richard Haynes Twining CBE was an English cricketer who played 78 first-class matches between 1910 and 1928. Most of his games were for Middlesex and Oxford University,for whom he appeared 32 times apiece,but the rest were spread between nine other sides.

Heather Clare Knight is an English cricketer who is captain of the England women's cricket team. She is a right-handed batter and right arm off spin bowler. Knight played in her 100th Women's One Day International match for England in December 2019.
Sarah Alice Hunter is an English retired rugby union player. She represented England at four Rugby World Cups. At the 2021 Rugby World Cup,Hunter received her 138th international cap,passing Rochelle Clark to become England's all-time most capped rugby player.
Norma Jean Izard,OBE is a former English cricketer. She is the longest-serving manager,managing the England women's cricket team from 1984,in 12 international tours before stepping down in 1993.
Alan Boyd Reynolds was an English first-class cricketer and British Army officer. Reynolds served in the 12th Royal Lancers from 1900 to 1934,seeing action in the Second Boer War and the First World War. He briefly commanded the 1/1st Northumberland Hussars in the latter stages of the First World War,being awarded the Distinguished Service Order while commanding the Hussars. He also played first-class cricket for the Gentlemen,the Marylebone Cricket Club,and Oxford University.
