Harry Kalaba (born 12 June 1976 in Mansa District,Luapula Province) is a Zambian politician and the current president for the Citizens First Party. [1] He had served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Zambia from March 2014 to January 2018. [2] He is a former member of Patriotic Front. [3] He served as the Member of Parliament for Bahati from August 2011 to February 2019. [4] [5]
After leaving the Patriotic Front party in 2019,he was chosen to stand as the presidential candidate at the 2021 Zambian general election for the Democratic Party. [6] In July 2022,he left the Democratic Party after several issues [7] [8] and in October 2022,he became the president of the Citizens First Party. [1]
The politics of Zambia takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic,whereby the president of Zambia is head of state,head of government and leader of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government,while legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament. Formerly Northern Rhodesia,Zambia became a republic immediately upon attaining independence in October 1964.
The Zimbabwe African National Union –Patriotic Front (ZANU–PF) is a political organisation which has been the ruling party of Zimbabwe since independence in 1980. The party was led for many years under Robert Mugabe,first as prime minister with the Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) and then as president from 1987 after the merger with the Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU) and retaining the name ZANU–PF,until 2017,when he was removed as leader.

Rupiah Bwezani Banda was a Zambian politician who served as the fourth president of Zambia from 2008 to 2011,taking over from Levy Mwanawasa. Banda was an active participant in politics from early in the presidency of Kenneth Kaunda,during which time he held several diplomatic posts.
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2008. Since no candidate received more than 50% of the votes,a run-off election was held on 28 December 2008 between the two candidates who received the most votes,Nana Akufo-Addo of the governing New Patriotic Party and John Atta Mills of the opposition National Democratic Congress. Edgar Chagwa Lungu is a Zambian politician who served as the sixth president of Zambia from 26 January 2015 to 24 August 2021. Under President Michael Sata,Lungu served as Minister of Justice and Minister of Defence. Following Sata's death in October 2014,Lungu was adopted as the candidate of the Patriotic Front in a Convention of the Patriotic Front in Kabwe,for the January 2015 presidential by-election,which was to determine who would serve out the remainder of Sata's term. In the election,he narrowly defeated opposition candidate Hakainde Hichilema and took office on 25 January 2015.

The veteran politician previously served as Mayor of Lusaka,having been elected in August 2018. His election in 2021 would see him return to Parliament representing Matero Constituency,a position he served from 2011 to 2016.
Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba is a Zambian businessman and politician who served as Member of Parliament for Kasama Central from 2009 to 2016. He later served as Vice President of the United Party for National Development. Under the Patriotic Front government of President Michael Sata,he served as Minister of Defence from 2011 to 2013.
