Hotel Indigo is an American chain of small, individually owned boutique hotels, which is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts (InterContinental Hotels Group). As of September 2023 it had 149 hotels with 19,529 rooms worldwide, and stated that it planned to open 129 more. [1]
The first Hotel Indigo opened in Atlanta, Georgia, US in October 2004 [2] and a second location opened in the historic Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois in May 2005 (later being foreclosed and re-branding as the Claridge House). [3] The chain's first non-US property, which in 2017 became the independent Metcalfe Hotel, [4] was opened in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
In July 2019 at the Traverse City, Michigan Hotel Indigo, a murder-suicide took place in room 318, blocks away from the National Cherry Festival. [5]
A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Facilities provided inside a hotel room may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a refrigerator, and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, a flat-screen television, and en-suite bathrooms. Hotel rooms are usually numbered to allow guests to identify their room. Some boutique, high-end hotels have custom decorated rooms. Some hotels offer meals as part of a room and board arrangement. In Japan, capsule hotels provide a tiny room suitable only for sleeping and shared bathroom facilities.

Wilshire Grand Center is a 1,100-foot (335.3 m) skyscraper in the financial district of downtown Los Angeles, California, occupying the entire city block between Wilshire Boulevard and 7th, Figueroa, and Francisco streets. The Carnegie Building is a historic building located at 141 Carnegie Way in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Built in 1925 as the Wynne-Claughton Building, the 12-story building was designed by architect G. Lloyd Preacher. It was designated an Atlanta Historic Building in 1990 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
Hotel Indigo Taipei North is a hotel on Zhifu Road, Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan. In 2016 it became part of the Hotel Indigo chain. It was invested and constructed by Yonghong Group and entrusted by the InterContinental Hotel Group to operate and manage it under the Hotel Indigo brand. It is the ninth business base of InterContinental Hotel in Taiwan and the third Indigo brand hotel. With a total of 149 rooms, the hotel started trial operations on January 1, 2020, and officially opened on February 12, 2020. The lower floors of the building houses a shopping center Chun Place, which opened in September 2020.
