INTACT is the first Romanian media group based entirely on a private local business. A considerable number of the most important propaganda brands in the audio-visual and print industry have been launched under this umbrella since its first product, Intact Printing House, was established in 1991. The Intact Media Center headquarters, at Gârlei Street, no. 1B, were seized by the state on Friday, 8 August 2014, as a result of the judgement sentencing Dan Voiculescu, the founder of Intact Media Group, to ten years of imprisonment. The journalists of the broadcasting company Antena 3 CNN, part of the Intact Media Group, have been conducting investigations on high-profile political leaders and unveiling multiple corruption cases under the Romanian politicians. One example is the former president of Romania, Traian Băsescu, who, together with his brother, Mircea Băsescu, was accused of taking bribes in order to influence justice. Mircea Băsescu was sentenced to four years' imprisonment on 8 January 2016. [2] [3]

It was launched on June 27, 2005 as the third Romanian 24-hour news channel, after Realitatea TV being the first television channel launched in 2001 and N24 being the second television channel launched in 2004, which was later transformed into a generalist television channel in 2010.

The Liga I, also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. Presidential elections were held in Romania in 2009. They were the sixth presidential elections held in post-1989 Romania. The first round took place on 22 November, with a run-off round between the top two candidates Traian Băsescu and Mircea Geoană on 6 December 2009. Although most exit polls suggested a victory for Geoană in the runoff, the authorities declared Băsescu the narrow winner with 50.33% of the votes. To date, it is the closest presidential election in the political history of Romania.

Gazeta Sporturilor was a daily sports Romanian newspaper, founded in 1924, whose printed edition existed until November 1, 2023, after which only its digital extension remained, GSP.ro, currently one of the largest sports websites in the country. The newspaper was the third most long-lived daily newspaper in Europe with 99 years of uninterrupted publication.

Antena Stars is a Romanian television channel. It started broadcasting on 9 April 2007 and it is a part of the Intact group, owned by the family of the Romanian businessman and politician Dan Voiculescu.

Television in Romania started in August 1955. State television started to broadcast on 31 December 1956. The second television channel followed in 1968, but between 1985 and 1990, there was only one Romanian channel before the return of the second channel. Private broadcasters arrived in December 1991, with SOTI which was the first private nationwide television station in Central and Eastern Europe. Romania has the highest penetration rates for pay television in the world, with over 98% of all households watching television through cable or satellite.

GSP TV was a private commercial television channel from Romania, focused on sports shows. It was launched on July 26, 2008, owned by Antena TV Group. From September 14, 2012 GSP TV became a station for men.

The holding is formed by more than 20 companies including fields of activity like trade, media, energy, industry and services. Horia Claudiu Ivanovici is a Romanian journalist and TV show producer. He began his career in 1992 as editor of Evenimentul Zilei. Between 1995 and 1996, he was the head of the Sports department at the Naţional daily journal, and was then appointed deputy editor-in-chief at Sportul Romanesc, during 1996 to 1998. He was transferred to Antena 1, between 1998 and 2000, where he held the position of editor-in-chief of the Sports News Department. From 2000 to 2003, he was the editor-in-chief of Gazetei Sporturilor, a position later held, between 2003 and 2004, with the magazine Life Sport. Beginning in 2006, he became the owner of the Fanatik Romania magazine, after having occupied the position of general manager with the same magazine, a brand further developed through the Fanatik Show TV show, the Fantasticii FanatikGalas and the www.fanatik.ro website.
