Jackie Stewart was a Scottish football player and manager.

Stewart played as a wing half for junior club Shettleston, then went senior with Dundee and Airdrie in the 1950s and 1960s. [1] [2] Stewart left Airdrie to become manager of Albion Rovers. [2]

He had his greatest success as manager of Dumbarton, taking them from relative obscurity to the quarter-final of the Scottish League Cup, and winning the Second Division of the Scottish Football League in the 1971–72 season. During the next season, he was recruited by St Johnstone to replace Willie Ormond, who had gone on to manage Scotland. St Johnstone struggled badly in the first season (1975–76) of the Premier Division under Stewart, and he left the club in February 1976. [3] Stewart was then appointed manager of Airdrie three weeks later. [3] He held that position until May 1978, when he resigned in protest at the club reducing his coaching staff. [4] After finishing with the game, he went into the motor trade although he still did some scouting work for English clubs. He died relatively early in his forties.

Brian Eddie is a Scottish former footballer who played as a defender best known for his time with Dundee United in the early 1970s where he made only three appearances with his debut coming against Celtic at Tannadice on 10 March 1973 in the Scottish First Division. Eddie then went on to play for Stevenage Town.

Samuel "Sonny" Henderson is a Scottish former footballer who played for Celtic, Stirling Albion and Clydebank in the Scottish Football League. After retiring as a player he became a coach at Clydebank and was later their manager. As manager, Henderson helped Clydebank win promotion to the Scottish Premier Division in 1985.

James Campbell was a Scottish footballer who will be primarily associated with Clyde, whom he joined from junior team Benburb in 1943. He remained at Shawfield for over a decade, with the highlight being the Scottish Cup Final of 1949, but fell out with the club in 1954. He spent a season at Queen of the South and a season at Montrose before he was appointed Manager of junior club Troon in 1957.

Archie McFeat was a Scottish professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper.

Willie Simpson Coburn was a Scottish footballer who played as a full-back. He spent much of his career with St Johnstone and also played for Forfar Athletic and Cowdenbeath.

Season 1977–78 was the 94th football season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Football League for the 72nd time, the Scottish Cup for the 83rd time, and the Scottish League Cup for the 31st time.

Season 1978–79 was the 95th football season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Football League for the 73rd time, the Scottish Cup for the 84th time and the Scottish League Cup for the 32nd time.

Season 1995–96 was the 112th football season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Football League for the 90th time, the Scottish Cup for the 101st time, the Scottish League Cup for the 49th time and the Scottish Challenge Cup for the sixth time.

Ernie Collumbine was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a wing half and sweeper.
