Jaylen Davon Harrell (born May 1, 2002) is an American football linebacker for the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, winning three consecutive Big Ten Conference titles and a national championship in 2023. Harrell was selected by the Titans in the 2024 NFL draft.
Harrell attended Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida. [1] Harrell was a MaxPreps All-American football player as a sophomore and a junior.
As a freshman, in 2016, Harrell recorded 81 tackles, with 16 tackles for a loss. As a sophomore, he registered 72 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss and 2 sacks. As a junior he posted career highs, making 106 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss and 5 sacks. In 2019, as a senior, he had 58 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 3 sacks.
Harrell was a four star recruit, and named to the PrepStar Magazine Top 150 Dream Team, as the #137 ranked player in the nation. [2] On December 11, 2019, he committed to the University of Michigan to play college football. [3] [4]
Harrell enrolled at the University of Michigan in 2020. As a true freshman, Harrell appeared in four games and had four tackles.
As a sophomore, in 2021, he started 3 of 14 games at linebacker, recording 15 tackles. His first career start came on September 18, versus Northern Illinois.
As a junior, in 2022, he started 12 of 13 games, finishing the season with 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Harrell’s first career sack came on a shared sack in the season opener versus Colorado State, on September 3.
In 2023, Harrell returned to Michigan for his senior season, winning a national championship. He started all 15 games as an edge rusher, finishing with 31 tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, a team high 6.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. [5] [6] [7] Harrell was named All-Big Ten honorable mention.

Harrell was selected in the seventh round, 252nd overall, by the Tennessee Titans in the 2024 NFL draft. [10]

Lawrence Edward Foote Jr. is an American football coach and former player who currently serves as the de facto co-defensive coordinator, pass game coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). Foote previously served as the linebackers coach for the Arizona Cardinals from 2015 to 2018. He played in the NFL as a linebacker for 13 season. Foote played college football for the Michigan Wolverines and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL draft.

Rennie Curran is a former American football linebacker. He played college football at the University of Georgia. Curran was considered one of the top weakside linebackers of his class, and has been called "the most dominant defensive player in the game" by The Sporting News. In January 2010, Curran announced that he was forgoing his final year of eligibility to enter the 2010 NFL Draft. He was the 97th pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Titans.
Gregory M. Jones II is an American former professional football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the Michigan State Spartans, and was a two-time All-American selection. He was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft, and won the Super Bowl XLVI with them. He was also a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans of the NFL, the Toronto Argonauts and Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL, and the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League (UFL).
Michael Brendan Martin is a former American football defensive end. He was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football for the Michigan Wolverines from 2008 to 2011. At Michigan, Martin recorded 172 tackles and appeared in 49 games, including 37 games as the Wolverines' starting nose tackle. He was selected as a second-team All-Big Ten Conference player by both the coaches and media in 2011 and received the same recognition from the coaches in 2010. In high school, he was the state Gatorade Player of the Year in football. He was also a two-time Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) state wrestling champion as well as a two-time MHSAA state shot put champion.
Jaelan Everett Phillips is an American football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the UCLA Bruins for two seasons before medically retiring after the 2018 season due to sustaining several concussions and other injuries.
