The Kennedy Compound consists of three houses on six acres of waterfront property on Cape Cod along Nantucket Sound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, in the United States. It was once the home of Joseph P. Kennedy, an American businessman, investor, politician, and U.S. ambassador to Great Britain; his wife, Rose; and their children, including U.S. President John F. Kennedy and U.S. Senators Robert F. Kennedy and Edward M. Kennedy. As an adult, the youngest son, Edward, lived in his parents' house, and it was his primary residence from 1982 until he died of brain cancer at the compound, in August 2009.
The Cape Codder was a seasonal passenger train operated by Amtrak between New York City and Hyannis, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. It operated during the summer between 1986 and 1996. It was the first regular service from New York to the Cape since 1964. The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad previously had operated a train under this name until 1958.

West Barnstable is a railway station in West Barnstable, Massachusetts. The train station currently serves as a weekend stop for several excursion trains operated by the Cape Cod Central Railroad.
The Hyannis Transportation Center (HTC) is an intermodal transportation center in Hyannis, Massachusetts operated by the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA). It is the terminus for several CCRTA bus lines and its CapeFLYER passenger train that operates on summer weekends between Boston South Station and Hyannis. It also used by the Plymouth and Brockton Street Railway and Peter Pan Bus Lines intercity bus services. The Cape Cod Central Railroad uses a separate station building across the tracks for its excursion services. A rail yard used by the Cape Cod Central is located north of the station, along with a former roundhouse.
The Hyannis Armory is located at 225 South Street, Hyannis, Massachusetts. The armory was built in 1958, and hosted Battery D of the 685th AAA Machine Gun Battalion of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. President-elect John F. Kennedy gave his victory speech at the Hyannis Armory on Nov. 9, 1960, the morning he learned he had been elected. The property was nominated for the National Register of Historic Places, but was never listed.

The John F. Kennedy Memorial is located on Ocean Street in Hyannis, Massachusetts. It overlooks Lewis Bay, where President Kennedy often sailed throughout his life while in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. It consists of a large stone wall with two bronze medallions, one of President Kennedy's bust profile on the front facing the bay and the other of the Great Seal of the United States on the back, a reflecting pool and fountain, a large concrete terrace, and landscaping. The fountain is lit from the bottom of the reflecting pool, invoking the John F. Kennedy Eternal Flame at Arlington National Cemetery. Inscribed around the reflecting pool is a quote from President Kennedy's Radio and Television Report to the American People on the State of the National Economy on August 13, 1962: "I believe it is important that this country sail and not lie still in the harbor."
Joseph Paul Lanza, commonly referred to as Paul, is a retired builder in New England. Though he was responsible for the construction of over 300 single family houses and 150 commercial construction projects, he is best known for the construction of the John F. Kennedy Memorial in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
