Jonas Elmer (born 14 March 1966) [1] is a Danish film director, screenwriter and previously an actor. In 1988 he was a production assistant at the set of Family Business , starring Sean Connery. [2]

Elmer graduated in direction at the National Film School of Denmark in 1995. [3] His debut as a director came with the Danish film Let's Get Lost which won him a Robert and Bodil Award for Best Danish Film. Since then, he has directed the Danish feature films Monas verden and Nynne . He has also directed 21 episodes of the Danish sit-com Langt fra Las Vegas . He directed his first American feature film in 2008, New in Town , starring Renée Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr, which was released in January 2009. In 2013 he directed the film In Real Life, a production about human desire to have their unmet needs satisfied, and shows their passions, desperation and delusion. [4]

Let's Get Lost is a 1997 Danish film written and directed by Jonas Elmer and produced by Per Holst. The film is an improvisational slice-of-life comedy shot in black and white. The film earned the 1998 Bodil Award for Best Danish Film and shared the Robert Award for Best Danish Film with Barbara.

Signe Byrge Sørensen is a Danish film producer. She is the head of and co-founder of the film production company Final Cut for Real in Copenhagen, Denmark. Sørensen and film director Joshua Oppenheimer were nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for the 2013 film The Act of Killing. She was also the producer to the critically acclaimed documentary The Look of Silence. Signe Byrge Sørensen a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Danish Film Academy.
