Khyree Jackson (born August 11, 1999) is an American football cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Fort Scott Greyhounds, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Oregon Ducks. He was selected by the Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL draft.
Jackson was born in Upper Marlboro, Maryland and attended Wise High School. In Jackson's senior season, he made 39 catches for 612 yards and 12 touchdowns. Jackson decided to attend Fort Scott Community College to play college football. [1]
In his one season at Fort Scott CC, Jackson tallied 25 tackles and three interceptions. [2]
Jackson would then decide to commit to play Division I football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. [3] [4] Jackson would get his first career start in the 2021 National Championship versus Georgia. [5] Jackson would finish the season with seven tackles and two pass deflections. [6] On November 21, 2022, Jackson was suspended by head coach Nick Saban for unknown reasons. [7] [8] Jackson would finish the 2022 season with seven tackles with one going for a loss in nine games before being suspended. [9] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Jackson would announce his decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal to finish his career elsewhere. [10] [11]
Jackson would ultimately decide to transfer to play for the Oregon Ducks. [12] [13] Jackson opened the 2023 season as a starting cornerback. [14] For his performance on the season, Jackson was named First Team All Pac-12 for his efforts on the 2023 season. [15] [16]
