Nyaru Menteng and Samboja Lestari are the BOS Foundation sites that have received most extensive media coverage. Nyaru Menteng, founded by Lone Drøscher Nielsen, has been the subject of a number of TV series, including Orangutan Diary, Orangutan Island and the series Orangutan Jungle School, airing since 2018.
Samboja Lestari is a Bornean orangutan rescue and rehabilitation centre, tropical rainforest restoration project, sun bear sanctuary, and eco-lodge located in the district of Samboja in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia, owned and operated by the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation. It began operations in December 2010. It is termed the first green airport of Indonesia. MV Lestari Maju was a modified 749 tonnes cargo ship that operated domestic passenger service from Bulukumba Regency to Selayar Islands in South Sulawesi. At noon on 3 July 2018, the ship was deliberately grounded off the Selayar Islands. The ferry had reportedly suffered a leak on the port side of the lower deck. As the ferry began to sink, the captain decided to ground the ferry to stop the sinking and ease the rescue effort. The incident killed 35 people; 155 people survived the accident.

It was written by the band's vocalist, Ariel, with lyrics by Ariel and Sheila on 7 guitarist Eross Candra, who were not credited due to recording label difference until the release of the Noah version in 2022. It was recorded for Peterpan's third studio album Hari yang Cerah (2007), with Capunk and Noey of Java Jive and Icom of Marvells as the producers. It was released as the album's lead single and its music video has been remade and referenced after Peterpan changed their name to Noah.
