The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (abbreviated asLJP (RV)) is an Indian political party formed in 2021 under the leadership of Chirag Paswan. [3] Election Commission of India froze the symbol of erstwhile main Lok Janshakti Party [4] and allotted new name and symbol to both factions. [5] It is now one of two separate factions - the other being the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party. [6]
LJP (RV) fielded candidates in 15 seats - two candidates won from Pughoboto and Tobu and eight candidates came second in eight other seats. The party received "state party" status in Nagaland, with around 8.65% of total votes. [7] [8]

Janata Dal was an Indian political party which was formed through the merger of Janata Party factions, the Lok Dal, Indian National Congress (Jagjivan), and the Jan Morcha united on 11 October 1988 on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan under the leadership of V. P. Singh.
Ram Vilas Paswan was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the first and second Modi ministries. Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party, nine-times Lok Sabha member and two-time Rajya Sabha MP. He started his political career as member of Samyukta Socialist Party and was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly in 1969. Later, Paswan joined Lok Dal upon its formation in 1974, and became its general secretary. He opposed the emergency, and was arrested during this period. He first entered the Lok Sabha in 1977, as a Janata Party member from Hajipur constituency, and was elected again in 1980, 1989, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004 and 2014.
The Lok Janshakti Party was a state political party mainly based in the state of Bihar, India. The party was formed in 2000 when Ram Vilas Paswan split from Janata Dal. The party had a considerable following amongst Dalits in Bihar. The party is factioned into two parties Lok Janshakti Party and Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party.
Ram Chandra Paswan was an Indian politician who elected four times to Lok Sabha in 1999 and 2004 from Rosera, and later in 2014 and 2019 from Samastipur constituency of Bihar. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Lok Janshakti Party political party. His son Prince Raj won the bye-poll occasioned by his death. He was the younger brother of Ram Vilas Paswan.
Meraj Khalid Noor is an Indian politician who is mainly known for his supposed resemblance to Osama bin Laden. He campaigned for the Lok Janshakti Party in the 2004 national elections, then for Rashtriya Janata Dal in the 2005 Bihar state elections. He wanted to run against Narendra Modi in the 2014 national elections, but could not get a party to back him. He subsequently formed his own party, but was dismissed as a candidate by the electoral authorities.

Chirag Kumar Paswan is an Indian politician and former actor serving as the 1st president of the Lok Janshakti Party since 2021, 2nd president of Lok Janshakti Party from 2019 to 2021 and a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Jamui Lok Sabha constituency since 2014. He is the son of late Member of Parliament and Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan.
Bhudeo Choudhary is an Indian politician currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Dhoraiya seat in Bihar representing the Rashtriya Janata Dal and former member of parliament. He has been the state president of the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party in Bihar till September 2020. Prior to the Bihar Assembly Elections 2020, he joined Rashtriya Janata Dal. He has also been the representative of the Dhauraiya constituency in the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 2000 to 2009. Choudhary was elected to the Indian parliament in 2009 for one term as the representative of the Jamui constituency. He is a former member of the Janata Dal (United).

She has been associated with several political parties in past, right from Samata Party and Janata Dal (United) to Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2015, she contested from Samastipur Assembly seat on a BJP ticket where she lost to RJD candidate.

Raju Tiwari is an Indian politician. He is the State President of Lok Janshakti Party since June 2021. He was elected to the Bihar Legislative Assembly representing the Govindganj Assembly Constituency in 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election as a Member of the Lok Janshakti Party. He is brother of the Former Member of Bihar Legislator Rajan Tiwari.

It was previously part of the unified Lok Janshakti Party, but it has now factioned into two parties; the other faction forming the Lok Janshakti Party. Manishankar Pandey is an Indian politician from the state of Uttar Pradesh. Pandey has completed his BA, MA & LLB from Banaras Hindu University. He represented the Uttar Pradesh Legislative council from 1989 to 1995. He was active in the Indian National Congress Party for more than 45 years from the 1960s to 2018. In 2018, Manishankar Pandey left Indian National Congress Party for joining Lok Janshakti Party. Ram Vilas Paswan appointed Manishankar Pandey as state president for Uttar Pradesh Lok Jan Shakti Party wing the moment he joined the party. During the split of Lok Jan Shakti Party, Pandey stood with the Chirag Paswan faction. Now, Manishankar Pandey is acting as State President for the Uttar Pradesh Lok Janshakti Party wing.
