Lusenda refugee camp is a Burundian refugee camp in the vicinity of Bukavu. [1]

The camp opened in 2015, and is operated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

A refugee camp is a temporary settlement built to receive refugees and people in refugee-like situations. Refugee camps usually accommodate displaced people who have fled their home country, but camps are also made for internally displaced people. Usually, refugees seek asylum after they have escaped war in their home countries, but some camps also house environmental and economic migrants. Camps with over a hundred thousand people are common, but as of 2012, the average-sized camp housed around 11,400. They are usually built and run by a government, the United Nations, international organizations, or non-governmental organization. Unofficial refugee camps, such as Idomeni in Greece or the Calais jungle in France, are where refugees are largely left without support of governments or international organizations.

Ali Abdussalam Treki was a Libyan diplomat in Muammar Gaddafi's regime. Treki served as one of Libya's top diplomats beginning in the 1970s and ending with the 2011 Libyan Civil War. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1976 to 1982 and again from 1984 to 1986, and he was later the Permanent Representative to the United Nations on several occasions. Jacques E. Fabre US Catholic bishop

Jacques Eric Fabre-Jeune C.S. is a Haitian-American prelate of the Catholic Church who serves as bishop of the Diocese of Charleston, South Carolina. He is the first Black and the first member of a religious community to be named to that position. He is the second Haitian-American bishop and the first to head a diocese.
