The Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency is a five-member Group Representation Constituency (GRC) located in the central, eastern and north-eastern areas of Singapore. The constituency consists of a section of Bedok, Chai Chee, Geylang, Kaki Bukit, Kallang, Kembangan, Marine Parade, Mountbatten, Ubi, Serangoon and Hougang. There are a total of 5 divisions in this GRC: Marine Parade, Geylang Serai, Braddell Heights, Joo Chiat and Kembangan-Chai Chee managed by Marine Parade Town Council. The current MPs are Seah Kian Peng, Mohd Fahmi Aliman, Edwin Tong, and Tan See Leng from the People's Action Party (PAP).

^ Tan Chuan-Jin resigned as Member of Parliament in 2023 due to an extramarital affair with party member. However, no by-election was called on the ground since it was a Group Representation Constituency, and the workload for the ward was distributed to Edwin Tong. [1]

The Singapore Democratic Party is a social liberal political party in Singapore. Having peaked at three seats after the 1991 general election, the party currently has no seats in Parliament since 1997.
Marine Parade is a planning area and residential estate located in the East Region of Singapore. Straddling the tip of the southeastern coast of Pulau Ujong, Marine Parade serves as a buffer between the Central and East regions of the city-state. Bordering it are the planning areas of Geylang to the north, Kallang to the northwest, Bedok to the northeast, Marina East to the southwest and the Singapore Straits to the south.
Bedok is a planning area and residential town located in the geographical region of Tanah Merah along the south-eastern coast of the East Region of Singapore. Bedok is bounded by five other planning areas: Paya Lebar to the north, Hougang to the northwest, Tampines to the northeast and east, Geylang to the west and Marine Parade to the southwest. It also shares a maritime boundary with the Singapore Strait to the south and southeast.
General elections were held in Singapore on 3 November 2001. President S.R. Nathan dissolved parliament on 18 October 2001 on the advice of Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong. The ruling People's Action Party (PAP) won 82 of the 84 elected seats in Parliament in a landslide victory. Due to the large number (55) of uncontested seats, only 675,306 of the 2,036,923 eligible voters (33%) had an opportunity to vote. As of the recent election in 2020, this was the most recent, and fourth overall election PAP returned to power on nomination day with a majority of uncontested walkovers.
The Pasir Ris–Punggol Group Representation Constituency is a five-member Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in the north-eastern region of Singapore. The constituency currently consists of Pasir Ris and parts of the Punggol town area. The GRC comprises 5 constituencies: Pasir Ris Central, Pasir Ris East, Pasir Ris West, Punggol Shore as well as Punggol Coast managed by Pasir Ris—Punggol Town Council. The current MPs are Mohamed Sharael Taha,Desmond Tan, Teo Chee Hean, Yeo Wan Ling and Janil Puthucheary from the People's Action Party (PAP).
The East Coast Group Representation Constituency is a five-member Group Representation Constituency in the eastern area of Singapore. The areas of the Group Representation Constituency consists of locations such as East Coast Park, Bedok, Changi, Simei, Siglap, Tampines, Pasir Ris, Chai Chee, Changi Airport. The GRC also covers a large portion of Singapore's eastern territorial waters. The five divisions: Bedok, Siglap, Fengshan, Changi-Simei and Kampong Chai Chee managed by East Coast Town Council. The current MPs are from the People's Action Party (PAP) Heng Swee Keat, Jessica Tan, Cheryl Chan, Tan Kiat How and Maliki Osman.
General elections were held in Singapore on 2 January 1997. President Ong Teng Cheong dissolved parliament on 16 December 1996 on the advice of Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong. The results were released in the late evening that day and the ruling People's Action Party won a total of 81 out of 83 seats as well as a tenth consecutive term in office under the then-Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong. Other major political parties contesting in the election were the Workers' Party, Singapore Democratic Party, National Solidarity Party, Singapore People's Party and the Democratic Progressive Party.
General elections were held in Singapore on 7 May 2011. President S. R. Nathan dissolved parliament on 19 April 2011 on the advice of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Voting is mandatory in Singapore and is based on the first-past-the-post system. Elections are conducted by the Elections Department, which is under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister's Office. Nomination day was held on 27 April 2011, and for the second election in a row, the PAP did not return to government on nomination day, but it did return to government on polling day. This election also marked the first and the only three-cornered fight since 2001 in Punggol East SMC before it increased to four-cornered fight on a by-election held two years later.
The South East Community Development Council is one of five Community Development Councils (CDCs) set up across the Republic of Singapore to aid in local administration of governmental policies and schemes. They are funded in part by the government although they are free to engage in fund-raising activities.
Moulmein–Kallang Group Representation Constituency was a four-member Group Representation Constituency (GRC), comprising several city suburbs surrounding the Central Area of Singapore as well as a sizeable portion of the Central Business District. It existed from 2011 to 2015.
Tan Chuan-Jin is a Singaporean former politician and brigadier-general. A former member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), Tan served as Speaker of the Parliament between 2017 and 2023, and 12 years as an MP for Marine Parade GRC from 2011 to 2023. Tan resigned as Speaker of the Parliament and as a Member of Parliament on 17 July 2023, while Cheng Li Hui resigned as a Member of Parliament on the same day due to their extramarital affair.

Ulu Bedok Constituency was a constituency in Singapore that existed from 1955 to 1959.
Kampong Chai Chee Constituency was a single member constituency within Bedok, Singapore. It was carved from Tampines and Siglap divisions in prior to 1968 general election as the population in Bedok grows. In 1988, the constituency was merged into Bedok Group Representation Constituency.
Kampong Kembangan Constituency was a single member constituency in Kembangan, Singapore. In the early days from the 1959, this ward was created for the Kampong Kembangan after the dissolution of Ulu Bedok Constituency. It was subsequently merged into Aljunied Group Representation Constituency
Geylang Serai Constituency was a single member constituency within Geylang Serai, Singapore that existed in pre-independence era of 1959 elections by carving a portion from its predecessor constituency, Ulu Bedok Constituency It had remained itself all the way until prior to 1988 elections where it is merged into Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency.
Edwin Tong Chun Fai is a Singaporean politician and lawyer who has been serving as Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law concurrently since 2020. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Joo Chiat division of Marine Parade GRC since 2011. He has also been serving as Deputy Chairman of the People's Association since 2021.

Mohd Fahmi bin Aliman is a Singaporean politician who has been serving as Mayor of South East District since 2020. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he has been the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Geylang Serai division of Marine Parade GRC since 2020.
