The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Brunei Darussalam (MCYS, [3] Malay : Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan, KKBS) is a ministry in the Government of Brunei Darussalam responsible for the policies and development of the country's national culture, youth, and sports. It was established immediately upon Brunei's independence on 1 January 1984. [1] [4] It is led by a minister, and the incumbent is Nazmi Mohamad [lower-alpha 1] who has held office since 7 June 2022. [2] The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan, in the Brunei-Muara District of the sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.

The Sports School (Sekolah Sukan), the sole sports school in the country, was formerly managed by the ministry but has since been transferred to the Ministry of Education. [6] [ dead link ]
In the fiscal year 2022–2023, the ministry has been allocated a budget of B$98 million, [lower-alpha 2] a 5.7 percent increase from the previous year. [3]

Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital city of Brunei. It is officially a municipal area with an area of 100.36 square kilometres (38.75 sq mi) and an estimated population of 100,700 as of 2007. It is part of Brunei-Muara District, the smallest yet most populous district which is home to over 70 per cent of the country's population. It is the country's largest urban centre and nominally the country's only city. The capital is home to Brunei's seat of government, as well as a commercial and cultural centre. It was formerly known as Brunei Town until it was renamed in 1970 in honour of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, the 28th Sultan of Brunei and the father of the current Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.
The prime minister of Brunei is the head of government of Brunei. Concurrently, the title is held by the sultan of Brunei, who as sultan is also the head of state of the country. As the prime minister, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan is the head of both the ministerial cabinet and the Legislative Council of Brunei.
Saiful Rijal ibni Abdul Kahar, also spelled Saiful Rehal and Saiful Rizal, was the eighth Sultan of Brunei and reigned from 1533 to 1581.
Sulaiman ibni Sharif Ali, also known as Senior King and Adipati Agung, was the fifth Sultan of Brunei, according to Silsilah Raja-Raja Berunai.
The Council of Cabinet Ministers is the body of high-ranking Brunei officials, consisting of the top leaders of the executive branch of Brunei government. Led by the Sultan himself, who has also been the Prime Minister of Brunei since 1984.
Berakas Sports Complex is a multi-use stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. It is currently used mostly for football matches, Track and Field, and Tennis Tournament. The stadium holds 500 people. It is also home to Kota Ranger FC.

Halbi bin Mohammad Yussof ; born 22 June 1956, is a Bruneian nobleman and politician who currently serves as a Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Minister of Defence II. He is a former member of the Legislative Council of Brunei, and previously served as the Minister of Defence II from 2018 to 2022, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports from 2015 to 2018, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), and Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).

It was established immediately upon Brunei's independence on 1 January 1984. It is currently led by a minister and the incumbent is Ahmaddin Rahman, who took office since 7 June 2022. The ministry is headquartered in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Kampong Kumbang Pasang, or simply Kumbang Pasang, is a village within Mukim Kianggeh in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. It is also part of the municipal area of the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The population was 563 in 2016. It has the postcode BA1511. The village formerly hosts a rubber plantation and was named Kumbang Pasang Estate. Notably the village was once its own Mukim, known as Mukim Kumbang Pasang.

The Istana Darussalam is the former residence of Omar Ali Saifuddien III and birthplace of Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah. The palace is located at Jalan Darussalam, Sumbiling Lama, Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. The building has become a tourist attraction and currently under the protection of the Antiquities and Treasure Trove Act of the Museums Department.
The Prime Minister's Office is the leading and largest cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei. It serves as the immediate office of the country's prime minister, as well as oversees several key government departments. It was established immediately upon Brunei's independence on 1 January 1984, with Hassanal Bolkiah, the current Sultan of Brunei, being the first and only Prime Minister to date. The leadership also consists of a Senior Minister, introduced in 2005 and has since been held by the Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, a Special Advisor to His Majesty, as well as in-house ministers and deputy ministers.
Ali binApong is a Bruneian politician who serves as the Deputy Minister of Development and for the Prime Minister's Office from 2010 until 2015. He later became the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) from 2015 until 2022.
Romaizah binti Mohd Salleh is the current Minister of Education (MoE) since 2022, the Chairperson of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Council members, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA). She previously holds the position of Deputy minister and Acting Minister of the same Ministry in 2018.
Abu Bakar bin Apong is a Bruneian nobleman and politician whom formerly held the position of Minister of Health (MOH) from 1998 to 2005, Minister of Communications (MOC) from 2005 to 2010, Minister of Education (MOE) from 2010 to 2015, and Minister of Home Affairs (MOHA) from 2015 to 2022. He had served in the government for the second-longest period of time after Pehin Isa Ibrahim.
