Orchita Sporshia is a Bangladeshi film actress and film maker. She owns production company Kochchop Films. She has performed in over 100 television dramas, short films, and telefilms, including Shubornopur, Shaola and BBC produced Ujan Ganger Naiya . [3] [4] She has been the brand ambassador of Airtel, Samsung Mobile, Parachute Hair oil, Foster Clarks and other brands. [5]

Career

Sporshia worked as art director (in Apple Box Films Ltd.) and assistant director (in Apple Box Films Ltd. and Runout Films Ltd.) before she started acting. Her production company is Kochchop films. [6] In 2020, she played as a rape victim in Anonno Mamun's fictional courtroom drama Nabab LLB , starring opposite Shakib Khan for the first time. [7] [8]

Controversy

Media reports on 30 December 2020 stated that the police were seeking the arrest of Orchita Sporshia under the Pornography Control Act. She was arrested by police along with a male friend for driving recklessly while they were intoxicated. In renowned filmmaker Anonno Mamun's film, Nabab LLB , she portrayed a rape survivor who was harshly interrogated by a cop. [16]

The plot centers on the love story of two youths, and the struggle of a mentor who helps intellectually disabled children to win an Olympic medal. Ostitto was released on 6 May 2016 in Bangladesh. The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised its performance and execution. The director announced in 2017 that Ostitto 2 will be released with new faces.

Nabab is an Indo-Bangladeshi 2017 action thriller film directed by Joydip Mukherjee and produced by Abdul Aziz and Himanshu Dhanuka under the banner of Jaaz Multimedia and Eskay Movies. The film features Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan as an intelligence agent from Bangladesh tasked with a secret operation in West Bengal, India and Subhashree Ganguly as a crime news reporter, Nabab's love interest. And features Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Amit Hasan, Aparajita Adhya, Kharaj Mukherjee and Arindam Saha in supporting roles. The soundtrack album and background score of the film was composed by Savvy Gupta and Akassh. Nabab LLB is a Bangladeshi legal drama film. The film is directed and written by Anonno Mamun, and produced by Azmat Hossain under the banner of Celebrity Production. It is a courtroom drama based on rape and violence against women. The film depicts the story of raped women protesting for their rights through social protests and judicial system. The film revolves around a rape victim Shuvra who is a radio jockey by profession, with Shakib Khan, who fought a legal battle in the court as her chief lawyer, Mahiya Mahi and Shahiduzzaman Selim played in the lead roles. The film soundtrack is composed by Dolaan Maainnakk, previously she collaborate with Khan in Bhaijaan Elo Re in 2018.

Abar Boshonto is a 2019 Bangladeshi film. The film is written and directed by Anonno Mamun and produced by Tam Multimedia. It features Tariq Anam Khan and Orchita Sporshia in the lead roles. Radio is a 2023 Bangladeshi war-drama film about the Bangladesh Liberation War. The film is directed by Anonno Mamun and written by Anon Zaman. The film is about the historic 7 March speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It had a limited premiere on television in 7 March and later got a release in cinema halls. Taranga Production produced the film.

Dard is an upcoming pan-Indian Indo-Bangladesh joint psychological thriller action film written, co-produced and directed by Anonno Mamun and with co-produced by Sarder Saniat Hossain, Kamal Mohammad Kibria Lipu, Ashok Dhanuka and Himanshu Dhanuka under the banner of Action Cut Entertainment, Kibria films, Eskay Movies and One World Movies. The film features Shakib Khan and Sonal Chauhan in the lead roles, making it is the first Bangladeshi film to be a Indo-Bangladesh joint production.

Elina Shammi is a Bangladeshi model, presenter and actress. She made her debut in Shah Alam Kiron's '71 Er Ma Jononi in 2014. Known for her role in the highest grossing Bangladeshi film of all time Priyotoma and Mujib: The Making of a Nation, where she portrayed as Khaleda Zia, the former prime minister of Bangladesh.
