Northern Dobruja is the part of Dobruja within the borders of Romania. It lies between the lower Danube river and the Black Sea, bordered in the south by Southern Dobruja, which is part of Bulgaria.

Rosetti, Cardon, Letea, Periprava and Sfiștofca. At the 2011 census, 65.7% of the inhabitants were Romanians, 24.3% Russian Lipovans and 9.8% Ukrainians.

The Altân Tepe mine was a large mine in the east of Romania in Tulcea County, 63 km southwest of Tulcea and 215 km north-east of the capital, Bucharest. Altân Tepe represents the third largest copper reserve in Romania having estimated reserves of 200 million tonnes of ore grading 0.4% copper. After operation for 105 years, it was closed and conserved in 2003 due to nonprofitability. It had also problems with water contamination.
Liga IV Tulcea is the county football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Tulcea County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 10 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series.
The 2019–20 Liga IV Tulcea was the 52nd season of the Liga IV Tulcea, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 15 September 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania.
