Piers Park Sailing Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit community sailing organization located at 95 Marginal Street in East Boston, Massachusetts. The sailing center utilizes Boston Harbor and offers programs for a variety of ages and skill levels.
Piers Park, located in the Jeffries Point neighborhood of East Boston, was constructed by the Massachusetts Port Authority in 1995 to allow residents access to the waterfront. Designed by Pressley Associates Landscape Architects, the park incorporates historic seawalls dating from 1870. [1] The facility for the sailing center was constructed shortly thereafter, but its sailing programs did not begin until 1997. [2]
The sailing center has a fleet of eighteen 23-foot Sonar keelboats.
Youth - With an enrollment of approximately 1,900 children, the Youth program is the largest program at the center. The programs serves children from Logan Airport impacted communities, children from low-income families, and children with disabilities. Summer programs and after school programs enroll children between ages 6–18. In the summer, every Friday, the Science of Sailing Program visits a Boston Harbor Island.
Adult - The Adult program allows adults to reserve boats for sailing with family and friends. The program includes a "Learn to Sail" course for adults. The curriculum is taught in seven classes by certified US Sailing instructors. Upon completion of the course, each student is evaluated and granted both membership and a US Sailing keelboat certification.
Adaptive - The Adaptive program provides lessons for students with disabilities of all ages. The instructors use equipment to adapt the boats for the needs of each individual student.

The Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a national recreation area situated among the islands of Boston Harbor of Boston, Massachusetts. The area is made up of a collection of islands, together with a former island and a peninsula, many of which are open for public recreation and some of which are very small and best suited for wildlife. The area is run by the Boston Harbor Islands Partnership. It includes the Boston Harbor Islands State Park, managed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Twenty-one of the 34 islands in the area are also included in the Boston Harbor Islands Archeological District.

The MBTA boat or MBTA ferry system is a public boat service providing water transportation in Boston Harbor. It is operated by Boston Harbor Cruises (BHC) under contract to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). In 2022, the system had a ridership of 797,700, or about 6,000 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2023. The system consists of three routes that terminate in downtown Boston. F1 service runs from Rowes Wharf to Hewitt's Cove in Hingham. F2H service runs from Long Wharf to Hewitt's Cove, with some trips stopping at Logan Airport, Pemberton Point in Hull, and/or some of the Boston Harbor Islands. F4 service runs in the inner harbor between Long Wharf and the Charlestown Navy Yard. A seasonal pilot service also operates between Long Wharf and East Boston. Two additional seasonal routes, not funded by the MBTA but included on some MBTA documents, run from Boston to Salem and Winthrop.
The Milwaukee Community Sailing Center is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) agency. The Sailing Center provides educational and recreational sailing programs to those who wish to gain access to Lake Michigan and learn to sail; regardless of age, ability, or financial concerns. In 2004, MCSC celebrated its 25th year of sailing.

The AHOY Centre is a registered charity based in Deptford, London that helps disadvantaged children and people with disabilities to become involved in watersports and to gain certifications of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) in activities such as sailing, powerboating and first aid. It has been identified as a major cultural project by the Greater London Authority.
UKSA in Cowes is a youth charity offering professional maritime training opportunities, youth development programs and school/ group residential trips. The charity was founded in 1987 by MFI entrepreneur Noel Lister. He purchased a Sports Council building with the intention of giving young people the opportunity to experience adventurous maritime activities. Since then UKSA has expanded now owning multiple buildings housing a wide range of facilities which are used to provide a wide range of maritime related actives, professional training and asset in support their charitable works.

Bethlehem Atlantic Works of East Boston, Massachusetts, was a shipyard in the United States from 1853 until 1984. It was owned by the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company. It is located directly to the west of the East Boston Immigration Station. The company's offices were in the Atlantic Works Warehouse, built in 1893.
Track 61 is an industrial rail terminal track in South Boston, Massachusetts, also known as the Boston Terminal Running Track. Track 61 is the last remnant of the vast rail yards that once covered much of the South Boston waterfront. Track 61 legally begins at Summer Street, while the line from Bay Junction to Summer Street is the Boston Terminal Running Track and Terminal Yard. However, the names are frequently used interchangeably.
Bremen Street Park is an 18-acre urban park, located in East Boston, Boston, Massachusetts. The park runs parallel to both Bremen Street and the Mass Pike/Route 1A and acts as a green space buffer between Logan International Airport and the residential neighborhoods of East Boston. The park is owned, operated and patrolled by the Massachusetts Port Authority (MassPort). It is also part of the East Boston Greenway, a linear park and shared use path.
