The Prix des cinq continents de la francophonie (literally "Prize of the five continents of the francophonie") is a literary prize created in 2001 by the Organisation internationale de la francophonie.

The Organisation internationale de la Francophonie is an international organization representing countries and regions where French is a lingua franca or customary language, where a significant proportion of the population are francophones, or where there is a notable affiliation with French culture.

Alexandre Najjar Lebanese novelist and literary critic (born 1967)

Alexandre Najjar is a Lebanese and French writer, lawyer, businessman, journalist and literary critic. He was born in Beirut and studied at Panthéon-Assas University and University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. He holds a Doctorate in Business administration and is specialized in banking and finance law. He is the author of more than 30 books translated into more than 12 languages. In addition to poetry and novels, he has written non fiction works like the biography of Khalil Gibran, the author of The Prophet., a book about the 1936 Summer Olympic Games in Nazi Germany and a book about the Arab Spring.

Mathias Énard French novelist born 1972

Mathias Énard is a French novelist. He studied Persian and Arabic and spent long periods in the Middle East. He has lived in Barcelona for about fifteen years, interrupted in 2013 by a writing residency in Berlin. He won several awards for Zone, including the Prix du Livre Inter and the Prix Décembre, and won the Prix Goncourt/Le Choix de l’Orient, the Prix littéraire de la Porte Dorée, and the Prix du Roman-News for Rue des Voleurs. He won the 2015 Prix Goncourt for Boussole (Compass). In 2020 he was Friedrich Dürrenmatt Guest Professor for World Literature at the University of Bern.

Hubert Haddad is a Tunisian poet, playwright, short story writer and novelist. He was born in Tunis in 1947. His debut collection of poems Le Charnier déductif appeared in 1967, and his first novel Un rêve de glace was published in 1974. Since then he has published numerous works in a wide range of literary forms.

Marchand de feuilles is an independent Canadian publishing house, founded in 2000 by Mélanie Vincelette. Martine-Anstett Award Human rights award

Martine-Anstett Award, or Martine-Anstett Human Rights Prize, is awarded every year on 29 April in Paris to the person, man or woman, strongly committed to the defense of human rights. 29 April is the anniversary of the day Martine Anstett died. Martine Anstett Human Rights Award is also to protect the rights of migrants.

Yamen Manai is a Tunisian writer. His debut novel La Marche de l’incertitude appeared in 2010 and won the Comar d’Or Prize in Tunisia, and the Lycéens Coup de Cœur de Coup de Soleil Prize in France. His next book La Sérénade d’Ibrahim Santos was nominated for the Cinq continents de la Francophonie Award, and won the Biblioblog Prize as well as the Alain-Fournier Prize. His third novel is titled L’Amas ardent and has been translated into English by Lara Vergnaud. In September 2021, he published Bel Abîme. In June 2022, Yamen Manaï won the 4th Orange Book Prize in Africa.

The Grand prix du roman métis is a French literary award established in 2010 by the city of Saint-Denis-de-La Réunion. It rewards a French-language novel published less than a year ago and which emphasizes the values of multiracialism, multiculturalism and humanism. The institution also awards each year the Prix du roman métis des lycéens and the Prix du roman métis des lecteurs de la ville de Saint-Denis. Each prize is worth 5000 euros.
